i'm confused whether one feature is on current gen or next gen. EA needs to make a table.

Sorry, but you're mistaken. It is not the name of an event, it's Next Gen's equivalent of Current Gen's X-Factor feature.

sorry andrew but x-factor is the same with in the zone?
i think not because in the zone is for dunks and x-factor is for cluch shooters
am i wrong?

You're wrong. Next Gen's In the Zone is not a feature that is exclusive to Freestyle dunks (as is evident by the other diagrams showing the In the Zone moves for other FSS types) and Current Gen's X-Factor does not just refer only to clutch shooters.
"Equivalent" was probably not the best word for me to use. The two features are similar in their role and execution, but the key difference would seem to be that In the Zone affects Level 3 FSS players in the Next Gen version while X-Factor gives borderline star players in the Current Gen version Star level FSS moves for a short amount of time.

X Factor means Robert Horry has a chance to have a few clutch minutes down the stretch if you keep him involved & time it right....by the looks of it, In the Zone sucks....it essentially gives the Kobe's, the Wade's & Lebron's of the world even FT line dunks

The differences:
X-Factor is for
Current Gen (PC, PS2, Xbox as well as PSP) whereas In The Zone is for
Next Gen (Xbox 360)
X-Factor players (determined by clutch ratings) are generally borderline stars who do not have any FSS moves by default, but if they're kept in the offense they can activate their X-Factor status which means they'll temporarily gain Star-level FSS moves appropriate to their abilities.
In contrast, In the Zone is a feature that will allow players with Level 3 FSS moves to perform additional moves.

I don't know what to think about this, sounds kinda cool, but at the same time soo unrealistic. It's nice every now and then to make a nice fancy play and such, but I don't want to see a no look dunk, or 360 every fast break, through the legs pass across the court, and Shaq doing a windmill. Hopefully this risk vs. rewards thing is done right. But one thing I think is stupid, is they tried to make as many moves for each FSS as possible. Which would usually be a good thing, but I think is a little stupid. Level 1 Scorer can do a finger roll layup, I understand it's only level one, but why even bother having a level one scorer then, I can do a finger roll, and I do it quite abit in games but I'm not a scorer even in my league. Everyone should be able to do a finger roll, not just people with FSS. And the shooter FSS is absolutely stupid if you ask me, it was a stupid FSS ability in 06, and still is. It doesn't take a Reggie Miller to fake a pass and then shoot... Besides those few things, this whole Total Freestyle Control might be a big improvement, though I still think it'd be funner and keep more people happy to just ditch the whole thing.
