Sun Jul 30, 2006 4:13 am

when he and yao had played both houston had bilans on +

Sun Jul 30, 2006 8:22 pm

yao is a complete bust and a trade is a must

he cannot play physiacal and barely manages 10 rebounds at 7'5!!!!

shawn marion gets 12 rebounds and he is 6'7!!!

goodbye yao, welcome bak t-mac

Sun Jul 30, 2006 8:56 pm

Well,Yao is younger than Marion! :)
only two years but anyways.

Mon Jul 31, 2006 4:52 pm

yao is definitely not the best centre in the league
10 rebounds at 7'5 isnt spectacular
he is not an inside presence like a shaq or a mourning or even bogut!!!!
yao is a bust (N)
McGrady IS houston (Y)

Well...I wouldn't call Yao a bust, but he's not on Shaq's level as far as talent. I hate when they try to blow up the matchup between the two when everybody knows there really is no comp when it comes to Shaq.
Yao is decent, but not the best...But if he ever decides to say, "F*** It!!!!" and goes on a rampage: WATCH OUT!!!!!

T-Mac's my favorite player but i'm surprised they didnt put Lebron on the cover.

hahaha i found that rather funny...
this sounds really obvious, but nash - 2 time MVP???
i cud never understand why they had melo on the cover for 2005 and not lebron

you say that a 9ppg 7rpg rookie (bogut) has more inside presence than a 22ppg 10rpg 7'5 300 lbs 5th year center (yao)?

and if yao is not the best center in the league, who is?

bogut has great potential in the post and he plays very physical

yao doesnt get physical at all

one word, 2 syllables
PUSSY
(N)

Yao has made great improvements to his game, and you have the nerves to call him pussy......well i think that you're a pussy for saying that....and if you're saying that bogut has more potential than yao, then you're fucking crazy

Wed Aug 02, 2006 4:17 pm

inside bogut has more potential because he plays more physical

yao doesnt

Wed Aug 02, 2006 4:20 pm

he probably dont play physical, but at least he is consistent enough to score at least 22 points and 10 rebounds a night.......bogut isnt even close to that and yao had a better rookie season than bogut......overall yao is better than bogut in every prospect and thats how its goin to stay, until yao retires

edit: would you trade yao for bogut??

At first you should not blame T-Mac, I am everything but not a T-Mac fan, but he played 40 games and averaged 24 points and 5 baords and assists (ca.)
You should respect his back problems, maybe one of the worst injuries since this is the main part of your entire body ....
He will come back ! The only thing I dont like about him is his working ethic.
When he was a young gun he played very well defense (1.9 bpg !) and tried to learn everything he could. Now he seems to be lethargical and does not show his will to work.

About Yao:

I think Yao is the best center, because the big inside presences like Shaq are up to die out. Younger players of this type do almost not exist (maybe Howard, Okafor, Curry ... but they have not proven themselves yet)
Yao has the agility and the fundamentals. His physique is not the best if you go for muscles, but he is able to move fast on the court.
About his rebounding: He is a very good rebounder, you can see that if you take a look at his off boards. where he averages 2.6 (Kevin Garnett: 2.8)
He does not grab that many def boards, but 10 rpg is quite good since height is almost nothing at rebounding. (look at the best rebounders, like Rodman ... height is not important)
He is also only averaging 34 minutes per game, not very much time to boost stats.

McGrady does have a work ethic; or else he would've have become such a versatile player that he is today. When he first came into the league, he had no jumper, average ball handling skills and average passing skills.

Thu Aug 03, 2006 1:25 am

That is what I wrote, he became a very good player due his hard work.
But I miss it now, maybe just because he couldnt really work hard with his back spasms ....

Fri Aug 04, 2006 1:12 am

nash should have been on the cover...............back to back mvp....

Fri Aug 04, 2006 3:20 am

He only had 2 bad years in his Career IMO

Fri Aug 04, 2006 4:41 pm

if yao is so good y is it that when t-mac was injured the rockets utterly lost it

he should be able to make a bigger impact when he has no supporting cast

t-mac has been doing that since orlando

You boys are bad mouthing Yao as fast as you can... C'mon, the man's been injured since before he got into the league. The surgery he had on his toe last winter has been bothering him since before he was drafted. When the guy returned from the injury and started playing those monster games he played, well, let's just say that that was the REAL Yao Ming.

I'm expecting nothing short of 30/15 from Yao next season... Houston has gotten Battier to help the team out and hopefully T-Mac will get through his back problems and can play an almost full season.

Do NOT forget Yao in your Fantasy Drafts during the season... Finally the man can move and finally he can do what he has known all along that he can do on the court... It must have been frustrating for Yao to play hurt all that time... I expect to see a much more relaxed and much more mobile and aggressive Yao next season... He will dominate, sad but true...

And I don't even like the guy, but I know a great player when I see one...
