And I'm sure the footplanting technology in the next gen systems should pace the game better. The players should flow smoother on the court while also keeping proper space between players. I really don't enjoy the current gen's inability to "create weight and size" to players as they seem to get where they want to go without any shift in position on the court. In other words, if T-mac wants to dunk, FFS will overpower defenses including a Big Ben-centered defense. We shall see how they do this year in current gen. Lets hope they get it right...

Hey Im sorry but I dont get hats Next Gen your referring to???
Is it available for PS2 or XBox and not to PS3 or Xbox360??
I really dont get it..Im sorry..

Next Gen= Next Generation graphics
It's only available on PS3 and XBOX 360, not the other way around
it basically means, the game designers can implement very complicated things without worrying much about the hardware limitations, for now.
The hardwares, mostly cpu and gpu, used in ps2 and xbox are old, so they can't handle the "Next Gen" games.
PC is more flexible

we haven't heard much about the pc yet, but i'm pretty sure it's current gen.
Most of the news you'll hear are for current gen, since it'll be released much earlier.
So the new clips and pics you see on this website is for current gen. You'll know the difference when you see the Next gen pics

Will each team play a unique style of basketball resembling their real life counterparts?
Yes, teams like Detroit and San Antonio will play you tough defensively and work for good shots, while Dallas and Phoenix will push the ball up the floor and look for early offense. Of course some of this is speculation since we finish the game before we've had a chance to see how some of the new players on teams will effect the way a team plays. For example, how will Chicago's style change now that they've got Ben Wallace patrolling the paint? We've tried to predict what we think will happen, but that's part of the fun once the season starts; to see if we got it right.
Does that mean if I choose sacramento and trade all the players with the SUns, still the kings will play their style no matter what the players are on the court?

I hope not!! The players on the team should determine how the team plays along with who is coaching them.

But to me the coolest thing about the draft is we give you the option to begin your Dynasty be re-living the 2006 NBA Rookie Draft, which basically means we pull all of this year's rookies off of the teams that drafted them and let you draft the players you want right from the start.
Thats a neat option, having the ability to relive this past NBA draft. With Toronto, the possibilities are endless...

. Also like the fact the substitution rotation patterns have been reworked. I was getting tired of having teams put in a complete scrub to run point when in real life they just had the SG shift to point to play some minutes, or the fact that some key role players were just rotting on the bench because the computer was too stupid to maybe put them in their alternative position.

We can only speculate and hope at this point, if I get a chance to try that out I will.

I hope the coach, in addition to what players are on the team determine how they play. It would suck to see Phoenix in 2015 have defensive guys who can't shoot and still be trying to play like Phoenix of today.

Good work Andrew....with the addition of controlled player minutes and mid level exeptions I think Live is finally becoming the NBA game we have wanted for awhile.
I hope the playbooks and team styles are done well then I may be back in the fold again....its been a few years.

What should determine the playing style of a team is the roster and the coach. Don't we have this in Nba Live 06 already? I mean before the game you can see the rating of each team in outside scoring, inside scoring, defense, etc etc

We see team tendencies, but really a no indication of how good the team is... We see that this group of guys is more outside than inside, or more half-court than fast break etc. But it doesn't really show how good a specific team is at it... We only have the team overall rating...
