Create-A-Player Idea

After playing so much Smackdown vs Raw 2006 I was wondering if EA would ever implement the idea of "unique" players. Like in SDvR2006, you could choose the wrestler's stance, moves etc... Wouldn't it be cool if Peja had his own type of jumpshot, or users could choose the type of jumpshot they want their player to have? Users could also choose different players and their dunks instead of being restricted to the dunks in a dunkpack? Freestyle superstars is a different way of implementing it, but it's limited... meaning a player can only do one type of offensive variation... but what if you could totally customize your basketball player so he doesn't look like another generic athlete on the court? Thoughts? I think it'd be awesome and make each game seem different.

Yea, it's a good idea. As a matter of fact, it's something that 2K7 will have with their individual animations..
EA has showed some interest in stuff like that also, where they year after year (since the introduction of 'Freestyle' in 2003) claim that the players perform like their real life counterparts. However they of course never really do..

I know what you mean as far as SD vs RAW is concerned. THQ's been using tendencies and fighting styles for the entire Smackdown! series, I reckon similar attributes - the likelihood of a player attempting short range, mid range and long range shots, preferred scoring method, tendencies on offense (shoot first, pass second, pass first, shoot second, drive first, shoot second, etc) and other individual player logic as well as perhaps customised movesets for FSS players - would give the game a more authentic feel with players behaving like their real life counterparts.

Technically these issus could have been possible since Live 99 easily, but it's just shows that most of the industry doesn't give a jackshit what would make the game more realistic.

I would so love that. But I'm not gonna get my hopes up something like that will ever happen cause, like Tuomas already said, EA fuckin sports are complete jackasses when it comes to improvements. Anyway, if they'd implement something like that, they'd probably take out another good thing like changing cameras or dynasty mode or something...
