NBA Live 07 Wishlist

i've always wanted a "play of the game" feature in nba live. or if in dynasty mode, top 10 plays of your team (if pcs still won't be able to simulate actual games for other teams).


and another one, maybe this is too early a feature, maybe this will come in 3-5 years. create your own move/layup, like edit the player movements. practice it in the gym. and use it in the game! that'll be cool.

I miss the cutscenes like in Nba live 2004, if i am correct...they arent important but they really do set the tone, like when i waive a guy you see him all sad walking out the building, or when you hire coaches u see the coach shaking the hands ala all that good stuff but thats just decoration, they mostly need the gameplay fixed...

Would it be possible to save your game while playing it? I hope that EA Sports can do somthing with this kind of problem. And with the NBA LIVE 06, the players are now limited with their corresponding superstar attributes. Like Kobe Bryant, he's an outside scorer by default, that's why you can't make him make 3 pointers because of his limited superstar attributes. I suggest that they create a set of combinations that corresponds with every player. And the BACKDOWN button for PC-CD, return it!!! Thanks!

hopefully they'll make a superstar mode or at least make the generated rookie info more clearer like what school they came from or their accoladers and stats in college or whatever and hopefully we can change their hairs or something. Hopefully they can also allows to make head coaching changes, they should have more impact in the game. Also i hope the computer would win by playing well, not by cheating!

I didn't read the whole thing so I mite mention something that's already been said....But here are my suggestions.


Cutscenes, when I win the playoffs I want my players jumping around everywhere and excited and when we trade smeone good show them walking away like in Live 04 or 03, Also cutscenes when you draft or resign-a-player.

Create-A-Team mode and part of the create a team mode should have you create their whole arena iniforms and every aspect of a Real Team.

Also when you substitute show them coming of the court and a new player entering and before the sub comes in show the guy walking up to the mat. And maybe when you're the T'waolves have Kevin rubb his hands in the powder and puff it out in the annoucers face like in real life...

Better and more stuff in Creat Player...Have unifroms move more in games, not just the bottom of the shorts, Get rid of the wholes in the heabands on when u create someone and you put a headband on them when they have cornrows or some other hairstyles there are like wholes in the headband...get rid of that it annoys me...Better intors of players before games..better music in games like real-life...More tattoos...I was playing against mIami Heat the other day and I was ahead by 2, I missed a shot Shaq got the rebound shot a quick release shot from full court and made it and I lost, My record was 81-0 until that loss, I was sooooooo pissed, fix that glitch please..that is impossible!!!!It was SHAQ to!!


Make te numbers better, like on the Blazers uniforms they are HUGE I'm Talking HUGE on the front and kind of small on the back, it's messed up...Before games have people shooting in warm-ups instead of there uniforms..

First and foremost, bring back the backdown key! I just got rid of my NBA Live 2005 (which was awesome and pretty realistic with the sliders I was using) because I thought Live 06 would be better in every way, only to find out that I couldn't do a critical, basic post move without spending $20+ on a stupid controller. I didn't mind not being able to do all the freestyle moves in past Live games, because they weren't necessary, and weren't that realistic anyway. But now you can't even post up? What the heck is this? You shouldn't have to buy extra hardware just to do one move in the game.

Secondly, make authentic team playbooks. I want to see the Lakers using Triangle, the Kings using Princeton (has this EVER even been in the Live series?), Rip Hamilton running off of multiple screens, etc. I also want to see plays being called by their real names, and not a bunch of made-up, "dumbed down" names. Also, make sure the movement of all the players is fluid, so that there's actually a point to calling plays. In past games, players bunch up and stop moving WAY too easily, making it almost impossible for you to properly execute most plays (this could be mitigated with off ball movement, but the player shouldn't be forced to try to cope with these flaws). Plays are supposed to make scoring easier, NOT lamer and only called because certain players want to try their best to make the game "realistic."

Finally, like everyone else says, make the gameplay more realistic. Arcade mode is fine, and I realize that a lot of players probably prefer that. However, if you're going to include a "simulation" mode in the game, then either make it realistic or don't make it at all. It's not that hard to make all the stats reflect reality; all the guys here and at nbalive.org who make patches and sliders are able to do that in their own free time.

I say get rid of FSS all together.
-I hate seeing all the unrealistic dunks and passes, makes me feel like I am at a cheap arcade. No player today pulls off 5-6-7-8 dunk contest worthy jams every game. I say simplify it to a decent assortment of layups and realistic (regular) dunks. Maybe once a game, when the team is really pouring it on and you have the crowd involved, you can pull off a really fancy dunk. Thats it. Make the game feel more like a basketball sim.

Get rid of that ugly crouch when players stand still.
-I hate running or standing in one place and watch my player dribble the ball like a damn 80 yr old fart. Looks plain stupid.

More League.
-Add the NBDL to the game or something. Thats the thing I like about FIFA, you have the choice of playing a different league.

The All-Star and Rookie/Sophomore games should either allow you to change the settings, or the default settings should be a lot more realistic. It's good that it's easier to score in these games, since that comes closer to the feel of the real All-Star games. However, the way it is in the game, there's no point to even playing it. Both teams can score at over 80% FG%, and every time down the court is almost a guaranteed bucket.

AMEN!! the superstar mode just took away the playability of those without superstar modes..

I also want to see plays being called by their real names, and not a bunch of made-up, "dumbed down" names.

Just like T-Mac being called Donyell Marshall or whatever his name is whenever you play online.. The game just sucked.. I think I'm just gonna buy an SNES somewhere and play NBA Live 96..

You're ridiculous! It's not a glitch, it's called bad luck. Happens exactly in 1/82 of an NBA season... By the way: Why should Shaq be more unlikely to hit a desperation shot than, let's say Baron Davis? From full court, it's all about luck and maybe strength. And we know that Shaq's got plenty of both. But I'm missing my point here which was: SHIT HAPPENS!!!

after a block, there should be registered a rebound(offensive or defensive) to the player who gets it.
make box out avilable to us and not only the CPU players.
Stopper like Bruce Bowen isn't a good at stealing.
He averages less the a steal in a game in the real NBA. Bowen is good at reduceing his oppennents precatege and preventing them the ball. We should see these things on the stats of the player who playing aginst him. Ben isn't good only at blocking shots, Taking rebounds or stealing. Stoppers should have a plays like a special box out or someting who prevent the player who is being guarded by them from getting close to the basket. Ginobili, Bowen's temat in san antonio, Has specialty on stealing the ball. So, there should be at least 3 kinds of Stoppers.
Bench players has no significance at NBA LIVE. That's not realistic that 5 players can play the hall 48 minutes(or 44,40 etc). The CPU should replace and give more bench players minutes, and not only because of injuries or foul trouble.The fatigue
of the players should be more influence so that we also will have to give more minutes to bench players.
Most of the guards rebounds come from long rebounds, Like rebounds from 3 point shots.In real games, Not all the rebounds jump near the basket, So that should be rebounds who jump far from the basket and only guards( or players who are far from the basket) can take. If it possible, Add a button in rebound who would be the opposite of the tip button, Like when ou cant caught the ball so you want to tip it to ine of your teamates.

1. Create a team
2. Better faces for CAP, the hair is shit and most facial features are way out of proportion.
3. Rate people properly, Iggy (even though i love him) should not have been rated 84 with 3 FSS abilities. Josh Smith was also overrated.
4. Turnover counting (no turnovers for deflections and shit)
5. Better defence (more shot altering effect, less blocking layups, less stealing passes and more emphisis on being able to stop people from driving)
6. No more stupid passes (players catching and not looking, passing so slowly that the defence out runs the pass)

7. FFS is shit, way too overpowered. Out. Scorer's layups are too hard to stop, Ins. Scorer's hook shot too accurate, Highflyer is just retarded (can make free-throw line dunks from a standing start), Power needs less range (too easy to get close enough to use it), Shooter has 3 useless shots compared to the 1 awesome one, playmaker's passes miss targets and are intercept easily, the computer knows where the ball is going before the ball has been thrown, Out. Stopper is way to easy to steal with but doesn't really "stop" them (a la bowen), Ins Stopper DOES NOT WORK FOR ME, I have practiced with them for ages but still can't fucking do anything special, their rebounding usually doesn't even make them try and rebound, their swating arm doesn't go anywhere near the ball and they end up fouling more often than normal blocking.

-highlights;not just to leave those big plays and, play them back after the quarter or half or at least after the game.
=how to make rip hamilton moves/curls around without the ball like in real, and not all teams plays like phoenix suns. so SPECIFIC TEAM STRATEGY is needed, every team has its own offensive n deffensive strategies
=add all kinds of 'score' situations,set them loose (almost every game in my dynasty mode is a close game most of them are OT's, ot's r great but it gets boring that way)
-cuztomizable all star team (i wanna add 4 pisotns to the team)

-be real on the rebounds
-comp win when playing good basketball not by 'cheating'
-team ratings as guidelines than the one determines the winner

* power players(like big ben) dont usualy do that
move in the low post but i see him doing that during the offensive reboundS..most power players do that too..slams it straight down..(add it not change it)
*stoppers (like bowen) dont steal or block shots but they give the offensive player a hell of a defense...they still get the specialty
*multiple freestyle ,let a star shoots like a shooter, pass like a playmaker, and drives like a...scorer (according to their ratings)
*offensive freestyles(scorer , highflyer,power) are too invincible at least those stoppers can be able to stop them (blocked dunks when trying to over him, according to the ratings)(outside stopper to stop the outside playes from getting in)
- no scoring to the backboards
-players reaction after big plays (no need the cut scenes except for buzzer beaters fo course) the bench, the teamates, the opponents and of course the one who made it
-how about the dancers add some.(sitting at the end of the court is enough for me)
-custom crowds in each arena (the jerseys etc..)
-most home crowds go home when their home team is losing
-revives the backdown move(keyboard), trophy ceremony, all star mvp
-various commentators

Simply and in one Sentence, IT WOULD BE BEAUTIFUL IF THE EA TEAM WOULD TRY TO BRING TH PC VERSION OF THE NBA LIVE 07 AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE? TO THE X-BOX LEVEL OF CURRENT VERSION 2K6, FOR EXAMPLE.

More Cut Scenes, not just taken the ones from the older versions and
In-Game Presentation Of Players, Teams,....etc, (after hitting a 3-Ball, or a Dunk, or an Important Shot).
Actual Jerseys and Arenas, Official NBA League GEAR.
More Freestyle moves while Dribbling, Crossovers, like mentioned above, WE MISS THEM A LOT!!!, cause that's the most beautiful part of basketball after Slam Dunks!

I don't want to repeat myself, after so many Wishes by people above, but I don't want to request impossible actions from EA Team, cause let's face it, Time is Running and it takes a Lot of time and Money to create a game of this format, so GOOD LUCK and Lot of Enthusiasm EA for EA SPORTS!

This All will help to Satisfy Your Customers and Will Lower the tension between the Players and People Like Andrew, Cable Guy, etc., who spend a HELL OF A TIME by Repairing What You have started, but didn't Finish!!!!, like Dr. J says, You Miss The Punctuation Phase of Your Dunk and That costs You Points!!!! (In the case of EA it costs You Money and Reputation).
