running plays on offense

i'm having a hard time trying to run set offensive plays. i've read how the play should develop, but sometimes nothing happens. is there any way to see on-screen where my pg should be postioned and what way to move to start play. i have ncaa march madness 2005(xbox), and clicking on the r thumbstick shows play motion. anything like this that i am just missing on live 07?

One of the recent PC releases had some on-screen guides when running plays (NBA Live 09 on 360/PS3 certainly does) but that was only on Rookie difficulty. It was either 06 or 07, it's been a while since I played 07 and I don't usually play on Rookie difficulty. If it's not 07 though then there's no other on-screen guides that appear on the court.
