v2.8 released...

Talk about NBA Live 07 here.

Good news! After playing the uninstall, reinstall game several times I finally figured out how to fix the problem I was having with the game crashing.

1) I uninstalled the game, including the deletion of both NBA Live 07 folders (my docs and prog files).
2) I reinstalled the game (didn't have to do it in safe mode).
3) I downloaded and installed this patch: http://download.nba-live.com/index.php?act=view&id=1196
4) I then installed the NBA Live 07 NLSC v2.8 Roster Patch

And that's it. Not sure why that particular combo worked for me, but I've played through a complete season with OKC and have not had a single issue other then the game crashing when I tried to play the 3pt shoot out.

Thanks again for making a great roster update.
I may never get a good night sleep again.

You're welcome, glad that the problem has been resolved. NBA Live 07 is definitely a frustrating release when it comes to that issue.

Any files that contain "seathome" or "seataway" can be safely deleted from the sgsm folder.

No, probably not. I'll probably leave Tapscott as the coach in the 08/09 rosters and then beginning with the first offseason update I'll make the change. It'll probably be one of the last things I decide upon when the release comes out in the next few days so we'll see. At some stage that change will definitely be made for next season.

I generally hold off until the offseason to make a change like that though. That way the final 08/09 roster has data accurate as of the 08/09 season. Since Saunders won't have technically coached the Wizards in 08/09, it's not really appropriate for him to be reflected as the coach in the 08/09 rosters (and I usually get complaints from people who want to play through the season but want the 08/09 coaches in place). It's an easy enough to change to make so I'll see how I feel when I'm finishing up v2.9.

Sorry, no can do. We can't edit the speech files for NBA Live 07 and obviously NBA Live 07 does not include speech for players not in the league during the 2006/2007 season. I'm afraid that's a problem you have to put up with for updated rosters for older games, at least ones where we can't edit the speech files at any rate.
