Im new to this help me please

Im new to pc gaming i just picked up nba live 07 for my pc today. I usually by it for my ps2 but i heard pc gamin was better. so far im not impressed the graphics were really bad. everyones head was like a block and the ball was a block and everything was blocky and really bad. i know its not my computer. i have sims 2 for my comp and those graphics are just fine. Also i wanted to put the all shoe patches onto mine but i cudnt if sumone cud help me get started to the point where they are gamin id appreciate it. id like to make the gaming as real life as possible. i see u guys have a whole bunch of downloads that make the game better if i cud learn how to use em it wud be grea thanks

i fixed the graphics part of it in the game settings but it lags when i play. my computer is just a typical dell windows xp home pc. im not sure how much space i have.

also i bought a controller but im not sure why it wont let me use it

Secondly: to me it sounds like you dont have the minimum specs for the game, how old is your computer? And you can find your specs under system in the control panel....

my computer isnt that old i dont think...im not sure if this is wut u want but there r 256 mb ram, 2.19 ghz intel(R) celeron(r) version 2002

there we go...thats what we wanted.....Looks like a video card issue to me...but i could be wrong...go in your device manager and find your video card and let us know...

its not just the video, as u can see most ppl have at least 512mb ram to 1g ram and cpu is not that good too unless u overclocked it hardcore, if u have a good pc, the graphic is Beau-ti-ful!!!!!

im not worried about the graphics anymore. im concerned about the lag of the gameplay then well get into details for now i wanna know wut i can do to chage that.

is there anyway i can get more ram on my computer and i dont know where to look in my control pannell for a video card

go to the store and buy some taner...rams pretty cheap these days...you have the very MINIMUM to play the game. try shutting down all other programs (aside from windows of course) and see if it still lags

ok so until i buy some ram...(by the way u think best buy has ram) i also have sum other questions...how do u put shoe jersey and other types of assorted patches into the game? i cud at least do that b4 i started actually playing?

1. of course best buy has RAM, take a look at their website, check out prices and all that...
2. Most of the files come with readme files...read them and follow the instructions...

well thanks for all the help so far...but i just read the tutorial on how to replace a shoe and i became very confused...i just want to download the "real shoes patch" i found in the downloads it has a lot of shoes to choose from wut do i do once i downloaded it to my desktop

talk to the patch creators in the patching issues forum....there are readmes that tell you what to do in that file (i should know, i have it)
