Jay-Z ... he's In The Game

Fri Oct 06, 2006 11:15 am

Good to see that the developers were hard at work on the important NBA Live gameplay issues, like adding the ability to play as Jay-Z. I, for one, have repeatedly said that NBA Live would be truly complete once they added hidden prima donna rap stars to the game - good to see they're listening to the users!

"I always want to reach out to people in new and ground breaking ways and this collaboration with Reebok and EA does that by combining several things important to me: basketball, gaming and footwear," said Jay-Z. "NBA Live has always been one of my favorite games and I'm excited to play the latest edition and to be a part of it."

Reaching out to people throught basketball, gaming and footwear? Aww snap come on! Is this guy for real?
EA sports are willing to pay, probably hundreds of thousands, to Jay-Z for advertising but they don't bother to test the game properly :D
Yeah yeah I'm whining :P

Jay-Z's in-game avatar will have the speed of Allen Iverson, the "ups" of Baron Davis and the sharpshooter aim of Peja Stojakovic.

modest one isn't he.

will receive a code to unlock Jay-Z's character for use in the game

This is getting ridiculous

Thats enough to make me not buy the shoes even if i wanted them! I want a basketball game, not some rapper who becomes the best guard in the game......

Yes im in a bad mood, i've just waited a week and a half after downloading the game, waiting for the UK relase date. Then i go to install and it says its corrupt.

If Mark Cuban was in the game it would be sweet to play Jay Z one on one...

If EA is making such a shit with adding rapers to a basketball game, soon it will become not a basketball simulation but a comercial shit which is going down (N)
Why don't they add 50 Cent or some other guys and make a gun shoot-out in the fucking basketball court!!!

It's already happened.

We gotta make a change...
It's time for us as a people to start makin' some changes.
Let's change the way we eat, let's change the way we live
and let's change the way we treat each other.
You see the old way wasn't working so it's on us to do
what we gotta do, to survive.
These lines fits anywhere... :)
We gotta make a change....

Serious bumpage because this doesnt deserve its own topic.

ESPN The Magazine wrote:JIGGA WHAT NBA Live 07 (Xbox 360) might have 99 problems [terrible gameplay and frame rate come to mind], but Jay-Z ain't one. The man with the shortest retirement this side of Junior Seau appears as a hidden baller. You'll find the code.....yadda yadda yadda

I just love how in ESPNs magazine they rip on the game they sponsor.

Bloody hell, what an unselfish human being, a role model for modest behaviour... Thank God he is credited for it with superhuman ratings! Oh, and a few hundred thousand bucks in advertisements for sure...

Wed Nov 08, 2006 4:09 am

why aren't they add george w. bush to game? it would be funny to see him go 1 on 1 with angela merkel...
