Can't pass in mid-air?!?!

Hey guys, I just got the game today, played for about 4 hours, but i noticed that i cant pass the ball to a teammate once im in the air(i.e. jumpshot), anyone else have the same problem?

this is pissing me off cuz one the moves i like to do alot is to run a pick-n-roll, have the guard come off the screen and pretend i was gonna shoot, so both denfenders jump, and i just dump it to the big guy for a slam. Now i end up taking dumb off balanced shots:(, besides, sometimes i would shoot a three, but then i realize im actually shooting with my PF who has a 0 3pt rating, so it would be nice if i can change my mind in mid-air and pass it to a teammate, i mean this feature(if u can even call it a feature) has been in live series since like the 90's...

i wish this was the only problem.

I thought it was just the way I configured my controller, but I see this problem aswell.

When I play BBall in real life, I use plenty of shot-fake passes. Its just so sad to see that 07 cant do it anymore.

Damn, that's something I like to do from time to time too. Hopefully it's just a timing issue

Yeah, a patch can fix it, but I doubt EA would do something about it. I'd add it to the bug fix list, but you're the first person that has mentioned it. Does anybody else feel that this is a significant flaw?

Edit: Glad to hear it works, BigKaboom2! It might be a controller configuration problem?

I can pass out of jumpshots just fine....not a problem as far as I can tell.

However, general passing is very difficult on Superstar difficulty. About half my passes were getting picked off so I've got to re-evaluate what I can get away with. CPU interception and steal sliders definitely must go down.

I know this is a pointless rant.... But why do people need a sliders thread? It's a nice addition to the forums and I don't want it gone by any means, but why must people request sliders? You don't have to be smart to fix it... its common sense, too many blocks? move the blocking slider left.... Scores to high? Change the game speed.... its just simple things people, come on

In the past, Andrew's sliders have created realistic stats for 12-minute quarters, which is why I've used them. I'm not sure I could ever nail them myself like he has for the past couple years.

it is possible to pass out of a jumpshot.
i think you have to be precise in your timing of hitting the pass button.
i myself am having some troubles with getting it to work all of the time, but i can confirm it does work as i have managed it some of the time

I was just playing with the jazz I had fisher I shot a jumpshot but I passed it to boozer just before I released the shot.

I'm not entirely sure what you guys are talking about, I hit the jumpshot button numerous times on my keyboard (by accident lol =x) and was easily able to pass out of it o_o...

Could some of these bugs that are being referenced only apply to some of the downloads from EA?

I haven't been able to pass out of any shots yet. Do you have to hit pass while you're holding down the jump shot button? Also, I'm getting charging fouls like crazy with Kobe. He ended up with 5 fouls before the 2nd half was over and that was after subbing him out repeatedly.
