It can be achieved very easily through DBF editing. All you need is DB Commander, which you can get in our Downloads section.

In players.dbf

Locate the player you wish to update and make a note of his PLAYERID.

In appearance.dbf

Search for the PLAYERID number you previously noted in the APPEARID field. Change his HEIGHT to 97 and his WEIGHT to 500.

Note that the game sometimes glitches when you modify a player so that he's bigger or smaller than the in-game limits.

Andew, I did what you said but it turns out that the game will have an error when you edit player appearances.

The game freeze and seizes to function when tried on dynasty mode. I only managed to get the dynasty back by reverting the value for height.

Is there a way to go around it? I mean, I edited a dynasty-generated player to become 6'10" from being 6'8" and still it apparently crashed. Do have anyway around this phenomenon? (You know 6'10" is still within the limit.)

If it's crashing after an edit like that, the problem must lie elsewhere; either an invalid value or possibly a corrupted file. Try deleting the currentdb and workingdb folders under your Documents\NBA Live 08\database folder so that the game refreshes them with the default files. That tends to fix some random crashes, assuming there's no error with the file you've modified.

I got the hang of things just last night... It seems that I have to edit a player on my team twice if I wanted to edit the player.T_T;; Both players.dbf and appearance dbf seems to have 2 instances of players in a dynasty team so the cause of the error seems to come from conflicting values.. I couldn't edit it with DB Commander though, so I had to use a hex editor... (I could edit it with a Notepad, but the files get corrupted it seems.:| )

Thanks anyway. :D

That's odd, it should be possible through DB Commander. Anyway, glad to hear it's now working for you.

Well, sometimes it doesn't change. It reverts back the original values when I open the files again.

I've never had that happen with DB Commander, though I've heard of it happening to other people.
