1st season Clipper Line up

Postby ~LikeWater~ on Wed Mar 21, 2007 2:47 pm

Just finished 1st year of my Clipper line up.

At the beginning of the season I made 2 trades with 2 different teams.
1st was with Chicago:

S. Livingston:75
C. Mobley:77

for

B. Gordon:80
P. Brown:70

2nd was with Charlotte:

C. Kaman:76
T. Thomas:72
Y. Korolev:65

for

B. Knight:70
S. May:69
D. Anderson:68

So my line up is now:

C: Z. Rebaca:65
PF: E. Brand:91
SF: C. Maggette:83
SG: B. Gordon:81
PG: S. Cassell:73

6th: B. Knight:70
7th: P. Brown:70
8th: S. May:69
9th: D. Anderson:68
10th: Q. Ross:65
Bench etc.

The rotation I set allows Brown, Brand, May & Rebaca to take either PF or C positions, obviously with Brand having the most minutes. Knight gets 40% of playing time while Cassell gets 60% and Gordon and Maggette get alot of playing time over their bench.

Season:
56-26 W/L.

Playoffs:
Conference Finals Vs Detroit: 3-4 to Detroit.

I think in the next season or two, I can get the championship with this team (before they all get expensive and leave). I need to trade for a better center, shouldnt be to hard.

what do ya'll think?

P.S - Gordon plays really well with everyone in the team. He is like the balance that the team needed.

why did you dealt kaman away? he is ur defender in the block. brand and may have similar style. and they are both under size in their position. and also you have an aging pg so better look for a decent pg in the near future. so is your center.

yeah why trade kaman? you will have a hard time trading rebaca to a good center because of his rating and about cassel i suggest picking daniel gibson or harris in case he retires

56-26 W/L

Even if Kaman isnt in the line up, the big men I have are all capable of covering that position. Thats why it was important to have alot of good men, becuz I knew id need them to be what kaman was. Its only the first season, after drafts and free agency I will able to get a much better Center. Its true Ive got 3 aging players. Cassell, Knight and Brown, but I have a couple of years left on their contract. So that gives me plenty of time to find replacements. Plus, I have Gordon in mind for the next point guard (Ive been training him and his passing is at 74 and Off awareness is 89. He will have freestyle star playmaker). I should still be able to keep Brand, if not Ive been training may and he is now 75 rating. So by the time they leave, he will be quite formidable.

P.S - size don't matter when you got skill. Well unless you got Yao Ming hahaha skill and size.
