Very Unique Crash, Need Help!!!

Postby T-Wave on Sat Feb 03, 2007 11:30 pm

Hi guys, something weird is happening to my game. I'm unable to play any games and I have no idea why. I got up this morning and tried to play... the game loaded, I could navigate through all the menus without a problem, then I launched the game to play, and the monitor went dark. I could hear the crowd already(although not loud at all), but it stayed dark, and finally the windows error report message came up. I tried to play a game in play now, and it was the same problem. Right now, I can't play any game at all, but I can do everything else in the game menus. Anybody ever faced such a problem?

I've installed the official patch and have been playing dynasty mode all this while, so I don't think it has to do with my system specs. I'm in the middle of my second season, and I've played every game without ever having this problem. Only thing I remember doing last night was to change my monitor and the amount of virtual memory on my system. When this crash happened, I reverted to the former settings, but the problem persists. Any help would be highly appreciated.

My system specs:

2.6 GHz processor
256MB Ram
Virtual Memory: min(382MB) - max(700MB)
Windows XP service pack 2
ATI Radeon 9200 pro with 128MB

Are you noticing any display issues in any other games that you're playing? It may be worth updating your video card's drivers.

The only display problem has been low frame rates. But like I mentioned, I've played my dynasty for 1.5 seasons, without having the problem, so I don't think it's the current drivers I have. Thanks anyway, for your suggestion.

your virtual memory should be
minimum = ramx1.5
max=ramx3

and also try to revert your video card settings to factory default then adjust it from there?
