15-man U-66 Overall Roster

Postby Gedas on Thu Jan 18, 2007 3:38 am

I got an idea recently, to start a dynasty with players, who have U-66 overall rating.

I would like to hear your opinions, whitch roster would you choose? How would you build your team? Whitch players are worth picking in your opinion?

Get role players, like Motumbo and stuff which have FSS abilities which will make it easier, maybe Korver, but he might be 67 (or higher now). You get the point. Sounds great btw.

Get Bynum at Center...he can play behind Mutombo who won't have the stamina to play all game.

Well I decided to try a theory so I raised the rating limit to U-67.

I got Mutombo, Ratliff, Prizzbilla, T. Outlaw, S. Anderson, G. Buckner, E. Snow, T. Lue, A. Griffin, Q. Ross, N. Tsikhishvili, W. Mcarty.

The thing was I took the players with low ratings but with good D. awareness. I start Mutombo Ratliff S. Anderson G. Buckner and E. Snow. I use intervention, sim the first three quarters and then play the fourth. The amazing thing is, that almost every time I start the fourth quarter the team has ~15-20 point lead, so theres no challenge. So far I got 7 wins and no losses. This just proves why San Antonio is so dominant in the game.

I can't believe you went 7-0. Defense matters a lot, but in this case its pretty ridiculous

Well, Marquis, try it yourself. Experience+D.Awareness+team chemistry is the key in this game. Right now I am 12-2, I lost to San Antonio and New Jersey.

With the NLSC patch my team would be as follows:

C Nesterovic
PF Varejao
SF Carney
SG Korver
PG Watson

Bench:
C Diop
PF R. Evans
SF Kapono
SG R. Butler
PG Roberson
C Bynum
PG Dee Brown

This team would mostly be for my playing style, though I wouldn't mind finding a scoring PF (that seemed to be the hardest position to fill). I've Korver and Carney in my 76ers dynasty now and have Dee Brown and Watson in another dynasty so I can firmly say I like these players. The rest I'm going on ratings alone with a lot of 3 point shooting.

Well, San Antonio is good in real life also, your team would be...bound to break the record for fewest wins in a season.
Nice idea however - I remember making a roster of 12 60-something players and challenged one of the All-Star teams on Live 2005, Superstar level - I'm pretty sure that's the only game I've lost by more than 40. It was fun.

Marquis, what level of difficulty are you playing?
Randy - 'Did you know Earl that before we was humans we was monkeys?'
Earl - 'Hmmm, What were we before we were monkeys?'
Randy - 'I don't know...I don't even remember being a monkey'

Why do you ask? Its not about playing with lets say weak team, but about simulation.

So you're simming all your games and winning?
I thought maybe you were playing on rookie level and kicking ass actually playing the whole game.
Simming and winning with all 66s is incredible.

You are mixing up something. This dynasty and idea is not mine and I don't really know why you think its mine. It's by Gedas, look who made the topic.
