Help with created players v.dbf

Help with created players v.dbf

so i created 2 players in nba live i copied their records and stuff and pasted them a few times so i have roughly 6 copies of those 2 players. (because i dont wanna keep creating a new player) so anyways whenever i try to import the copied players into a team i get this message.

can anyone help me on this?

Hm, I'm not 100% sure what your problem here is, but do you know that you have to create the player in both players.dbf and appearance.dbf, and make sure everything matches up?

And faces.dbf most likely as well. I don't know how many ID's can one player share, but from what I remember a created player has ID's for quite many things. Firstly there's a -unique- ID (so make sure playerid in players.dbf is unique in each instance), then make sure that team ID they have in players.dbf does not cause a problem with roster size (if not in free agents). Also the players.dbf ID has to match ID in appearance files appearid, and then every created player also has faces ID (for created faces, not cyberfaces).

If you've copied and pasted the player entries using MS Excel there's a good chance you've corrupted the dbf files; that would result in the error message you've posted.
