Youngsters with 90-99 overall potential?

Postby Unguarded on Sat Nov 18, 2006 9:05 am

I just bought the game and am about to do a fantasy draft and play my first dynasty. As some of you may remember, I figured out how to eventually build a team with all 99s in my starting lineup in 06. Rather than go by trial and error this time (takes forever), I thought I'd ask you guys who to go after. So to those of you who are already in the later years of your dynasty, which players have the easiest time breaking the 90 overall barrier? Thanks for any help... can't wait to get going!

Well I think Josh Howard will be a 90 - 99 player and even I think Kirk Hinrich.

Look it up in players.dbf. THere's a column somewhere in the middle, labeled DESTINY, I think. 0-highest, 5-lowest. The pc actually just uses 1 as the highest value, but I've used 0 and it worked perfectly.

DESTINY: Player's destiny and development potential. Determines a player's chances of improving/declining. Ranges from 0 (Best) to 8 (Worst)

editing-unstability?

Shall we use excel.exe or something else to edit the play.db? It is said that editing play.dbf will cause the unstablility of the game, is that true?
