How does the live xBox360 version look?

Postby nba360 on Sun Nov 12, 2006 4:09 pm

Hi, guys. I am new here. I am a huge live fan! I just have a few questions before I buy the game. How is the live 07 xbox version in terms of game playing? Is there any difference between the PC version and 360 version other than the graphic. Would I be able to download roster update from here? I read the gamespot review, the score was really low, so I am kinda worried. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Honestly, don't get Live. 2k7 is the way to go.

As much as "Honestly, don't get Live. 2k7 is the way to go." is such a common comment on this forum, and has been for years with the competition between the two games................. I hate to say it.

But if it's next gen your talking............ don't even bother with NBA Live. It easily has the best 'still' graphics around, but when the players are moving around, it is shocking. And the gameplay seems to be heavily flawed. HEAVILY FLAWED

Now the current gen version, bugs aside, IMO is a better game compared to the current gen 2k7...... but that's my opinion.

Good luck.

2k is better on the 360 but current gen Live is way better than 2K especially on the xbox

If you want the game to perform better you'll need to tweak it plain and simple. I can understand why most people will say it sucks but I'm also positive 75-80% of them didn't bother tweaking it much at all. But hey that's not their job it's EA's job to get the game to play right out of the box. Alot of people felt like Live 06 sucked on the PS2/XBOX last year because they only played the game with the default settings EA used. But you'd be surprised how that game played if you tweaked sliders and messed with the team playbooks last year.

I basically just messed around with the game again this year and it plays pretty good for me. But remember I'm not using EA's players ratings, playbooks or sliders that came with the game out of the box.

It still has some issues just like all basketball games do............but if you have time and patience you can work with the game and see a side of it that not many others will see because they most likely don't have the free time to tweak things.

I own both games and I had more problems with Live 07 than 2K7 right out of the box. But as time went by I started seeing things in both games that really displeased me. But I also kept in mind that they are both just video games and no matter how much people try to make one out to be much better than the other it really comes down to personal preference.

I've never understood the concept of this game is better than that game because I like it more or because it scored higher in reviews. That might be the case for 10 people but then there might be 2 other people that enjoy the other game more. I say play the game that you enjoy the most and not everyone is going to like or have the same opinion on these video games.

That would be under the assumption he has that possibility. Sure it a reasonable suggestion but it is more than likely he has considered it already. Further more he was asking for others observations and opinions on the game. Hence, that being the intention of the thread the recommendation to rent the games becomes fairly redundant.

you are right. i was only saying that he should try the games out (as well as listening to other people's voices) as opposed to just relying on what other ppl wants to say about the games
