If you put the DVD in and click on check for patch or what ever it comes up in the browser to a screen I haven't seen before. But I'm unable to click the button as instructed. Anyone else see this?

There's a patch button which gives a Java error when clicked, and a patch link which goes to a Quicktime trailer for the game.

Anyone able to get it? I get an error "Error Encountered" I tried with both Firefox and IE....although IE did ask to install an ActiveX controller.

The button is linked back to the root of the nbalive07 page. The first page you see when you get to the site. It's probably not totally up yet, as they are in the process of bringing this page online. Should be soon though since the udpate page is live.

I think all EA Sports games got the 'Check for updates' button at startup though; and they certainly wouldn't be able to put anything like that on your DVD's after they released it, even if they wanted to...

They released a patch for NBA Live 95, 98, 99, 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2005.

You guys think they would be dumb enough to think they've put it out there but forget to properly link to it?

They were certainly 'dumb' enough to leave a lot out of the game in the first place.

It installed for me, but I can't tell if its legit. On the screen when you load the game it still has version 1.0. Thought it would at least be 1.5 or 2.0

When a folder named "nbalive07" shows up here : ftp://ftp.ea.com/pub/easports/patches/ you can be sure, that the patch is out... :D

How do you figure it installed? Did the progress bar move? Still appears to be a dead link.

This is cruel.

EDIT:

I have a feeling this is a lie.

EDIT 2: No Fatigue or CPU sub sliders. Silly EA.

It's not there yet, but I guess it must be imminent. If you want to install it by clicking on the "check for patch" button once you get to the webpage, be warned that you'll probably need to use IE as it needs to install an ActiveX control to work properly.

Battlefield just released a patch and that isn't on the FTP. Although I agree it will probably be here once they put it on there. I can't imagine them putting it somewhere else or on another ftp. I agree this is cruel.

I was able to view the read me for the patch, and it looks like this patch is only really gonna fix the sub bug and very few others , but thats good enough for me as that is the only real bug i have encountered, but it gives a error message so its not released yet i don't think.

Since there's been no announcement and trying to retrieve the update results in an error, I think it's safe to assume that at this time it's still not available.
