This MIGHT be an isolated incident, but let us assume that NBA LIVE still sells rather well... the question needs to be asked...

what incentive does EA have AFTER ALL the bad reviews, AFTER the formal letters and complaints, AFTER ALL THESE THINGS, what incentive do they have to use money for making the a better game if their game continues to sell REGARDLESS?

they have no reason to make a better game than 2k7.

The most suprising thing is NBA 2K7 is outselling madden and nba live on the xbox 360. That's huge news.

Those sales were from the release date week. (before the reviews and before anyone knew about the bugs)

The week also saw a different sport finish strong--a sport that no single publisher has a monopoly on. Electronic Arts' NBA Live 07 debuted solidly in second (PS2) and fourth (Xbox 360) places, while rival NBA 2K7 from 2K Sports wound up in third (Xbox 360) and seventh (PS2). Sony's first-party basketball game, NBA 07, fared far worse, spending its first week in stores all the way down in 59th place.
