6. Iverson 93
7. Nash 91
8. Arenas 91

13. Vince 89
14. Pierce 89
15. Marion 89
16. Amare 89

18. Carmelo 87
19. Bosh 87
20. Artest 87
21. Jermaine 86

25. Kidd 85
26. Redd 85
27. Paul 85
28. Josh Howard 85
29. Richardson 85

Note 1. Its a top 29 because only 29 people are rated 85 and up
Note 2. In scenarios where players have the same overall ratings the deciding factor in their ranking is solely my opinion, feel free to argue over it all you want.

In my opinion, Iverson is better than T-Mac.
And Richardson is supposed to be 85 right?

I think Redd is overrated, he's just a good shooter. I think Joe Johnson is way better than him. (Y)

Interesting, a couple seem rather high but I'll wait until I can explore all the ratings for myself and see what kind of impact they have with the sim engine this year. Overall ratings are somewhat overrated to begin with.

So current gen uses the same ratings as last year ?

That's fucking stupid, EA putting in all the work for next gen...and adding next to nothing new to the PC version.

Actually, it makes more sense from both a programming and business standpoint to be putting more effort into Next Gen since those consoles will be replacing the Current Gen systems within the next couple of years. At any rate, there are two teams (one for each Gen) so putting effort into Next Gen doesn't take anything away from Current Gen. Limitations of the Current Gen consoles on the other hand do present certain roadblocks when it comes to some features.

Since they've been building the foundation for the Next Gen versions with NBA Live 06 and NBA Live 07, I can see the benefits of not porting the Next Gen version to PC straight away. I'd rather they work the kinks out of it first and then bring it over as the Xbox and PS2 are phased out.

I seriously dont think EA know anything about NBA cuz they always stuff up the ratings and this year it is even worse. I dont get how Lebron has 91 defense and 90 clutch. Maybe a American team should make it Nba 08?

Not surprising since they're one of the top teams in the NBA. Blazers have 0 in the top 29, they're the bottom team of the NBA.

Joe Johnson is a better passer and defender. Redd scores 5 more PPG, is a better shooter, slasher, rebounds just as well. I think it's fine for them to both be 85, JJ is not better than Redd, he's just a better all-round player, but so is Ricky Davis. Redd will also have advantages in some of those smaller ratings, using screens, finishing with contact, clutch (though JJ is clutch), who knows, I don't want to look through all their individual ratings.

Overall Ratings mean jackshit to me.

It's about the individual ratings, definately.

with all the extra ratings, it should come as no surprise....offensively, he's a machine....when I say offensively, I mean creating for others, creating for himself, controlling the tempo of the game, using change of speed & direction & so on....his lack of D drops his rating down to 91....I think it's a relatively fair overall rating....

Pau is better then Allen and Manu, he got shafted. Not only is he a good scorer but he can pass, rebound, defend, block, he is a total package. I dont know why he is so low. Mcgrady is over rated, Brand could have been better, AK is over rated like usual, and Josh Howard shouldnt even be in the top 29. But wade and kobe should be ahead of Lebron.

Pau's rating boggled my mind, he's like a little lesser offensive Bosh with better defense, shot blocking and passing. Not that they're similar in how they play, I mean in production.
