expect crap --- they focus more on next gen, and compared to next gen it WILL be crap. Expect what you played last year with a few dynasty tweaks, superstar tweaks, and roster updates. that is all

Please die? In all of our requests we wanted the improvements in gameplay and dynasty even if that meant that they don't do any changes in the graphics department. That's exactly what we'll get: improved gameplay (collision detection, more realistic integration of superstars, new ratings (I hope)...) and dynasty mode (finally we'll be able to decide the depth chart,...). Actually, from what I've seen, this game has everything I expected from Live 07. What does actually next gen version have over PC one? Better graphics? Foot planting? One more superstar level? What else?

and the gameplay looks to be way bader than current-gen...read the actual reviews of the 360-version....they all are complaining about the gameplay!!!!

I don't see what it is that makes the next-gen version so much better than the current-gen one.
-Graphics on next-gen are better but the player models suck. They have tiny heads and huge shorts, so I'd still take the current gen graphics (with good body proportions and all) over next-gen.
-I don't think there's too much difference in the gameplay and personally I don't really care about the couple more shooting styles and FT rituals that next-gen offers.
-And another huge advantage (at least to me), current-gen gives you the possibility to use patches and there's some awesome ones around here (assuming you play current-gen on pc).

1. Pretty much the same as the other Current Gen systems.
2. The same as other Current Gen systems though it can be easily patched and you can save boxscores and screenshots.

My guess is when the Current Gen consoles are phased out.

That really depends on people's free time and interest, not to mention the patchability of the game. As I understand it headshape editing isn't as easy as previous years so face patching is a little more restrictive. Besides that, a lot of the old patchmakers aren't as active anymore or have moved on completely.

I'm sorry to all fans of this thread, but I totally agree. We need to start mass deleting all these locked threads.
