i heard somewhere that the next gen

Actually, Tex Winter invented the triangle offense: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tex_Winter. And yes, last releases of Live already had triangle offense and variations of it.

actually, they had that since Live '95... I remember using it when playing as Chicago.
