Overall, it's appealing. I especially liked the introduction of the starting lineup and the all star weekend video. However, some of the passing mechanics could still need some work.

HtownBallaADL you're right..like on the "movement" video, they kept on holding down the button too long that's why tmac's shot looked odd..they dont know how to play it..

Player movements are so CHOPPY!!! I mean, the shots, the layups, the dunks...so choppy, and abnormal.

If you look at the videos, ALL animations look choppy and Shit!!! I can't believe EA is putting this shit on the market. Hyping up ESPN integration, who cares about that shit if the game sucks!!!

The signature jumpshots video is absolutely horrible. AI was beyond the 3 pt line, standing still not moving, and then he shoots it, and the animation makes his shot look like a run up jumpshot. Anyways the staduim video is the only video I liked, it looked amazing

^^ Current Gen plays 10X better than this. . .I can't believe how disappointed I am with this shit, I waited a whole year hoping EA would come to its senses. I just want to write hate mail on how they half assed the gameplay of this game. . EA definately needs to go back to the basics and stop puttin all these ugly ass 360 dunks and windmills and shit, and put out a REAL game. Anyone who thinks this game plays well, is just setting themselves up for a HUGE disappointment

Atleast if they had the game on GameCube, I would be happy, but Thats not gonna happen. I don't even want this piece of shit, Fuck ESPN integration, they focused more on that shit than the actual game play. . Give 2k your footplanting and athletic technology, I'm sure they know how to use it properly!!!

You are an angry little man. Passing all this judgement before playing as much as one second of the game, even. This is what is called the self-fulfilling prophecy -- I'm sure you'll hate it when it comes out, too. You've put yourself in that position. However, don't spoil it for us who are anticipating the game and are actually going to enjoy it.

EA should have just gone with something simple. They should have ditched the whole FSS and gone with NBA live 2005 controls. I love those controls, simple, yet effective.

I'm sorry, but I have my opinions. . .You don't have to agree with me, and I don't expect you to!!

But if you look at it EA had all this time to work on the game, and all the hype they built up just went down the drain!! I'm sorry, I can't say this game looks good, and I've been a fan since Live 95, even Bulls Vs Lakers era, I'm just being realistic

the graphics look the same and i like the presentation of the dunk contest but i still think its going to be a piece of shit since they haven't added anything to the game for current gen so its just like 06

Wow. The All-Star Weekend looks great. Yeah, the animations do look a bit shaky.

If they fix that, the game will be GREAT!! Plus the gameplay looked kinda slow. . .I wanna play a demo of this. The EA producer said a demo should be on Xbox (360) Live within the next few weeks. .

I watched the videos and I gotta admit, the nerds at IGN are pretty fucking stupid when it comes to basketball. It does make Live seem a lot worse than it really is.

and it sounds like they recycled those Live '99 announcer bits before the intros. The intros were pretty cool though.

I think as the developers become more familiar with the next gen consoles, nba live itself will take off. Those I agree those animations are very ugly I must still admit watching all of the videos that there is definetly great potential shown for future games.

2k7 took the easier route and weren't really bashed for it. Live took the hard er and now they must suffer the consequences of a totally new system, and I guess as live fans we must as well.

Ok, I'm not even going to argue with those of you who will defend Live to death, most people that have watched these videos know how badly EA messed up.

My message is this:

EA messed up Nba Live 07, they hyped everything as usual, they've failed to make a basketball sim since 95'.

Now you Nba Jam fans play Live, and us real life basketball players and fans will play 2K, becasue it excells at simulating real life. The live lovers are people who play basketball outside with a trampalene.

Deal with it.

I'm very disappointed with these videos. The much hyped feet planting meant just a new animation when stopping and changing directions? Other than that there is still visible sliding, no momentum, and the animations don't transate smoothly, looks horrible.
The new dunk featured in the slam dunk video is, ridicoulus and unrealistic and too NBA Jam-mic to my taste.
All in all, I am disappointed. I know they still are working but why release these videos if they aren't close to the final product? If this is how's it going to look like, I'll have to make a difficult decision to skip yet another NBA Live, but this time it isn't going to break my heart. I'll just hope I am proven wrong.

Like the IGN article sais...Live is 90% finished. Lets hope they smooth things out by the release date instead of jumping to conclusions. The xbox360 demo should be similar to the final build, so when people get to play it we should hear better hands-on opinions.

I agree that the people who played during those videos had no idea what they were doing, but they also showed some bugs during the game. For instance, Yao posted up, backed down his defender and then completely turned around and drived out of bounds. I hope that that was a bug that can be ironed out rather than someone who didn't know what they were doing with the controller.

So far, the current gen version looks like it plays better.
