At this stage that's all we know, my guess is that the Next Gen version will feature a wide variety of styles while the variety on the Current Gen versions won't be quite as impressive.

damn it, current gen has a larger market - not so many people own ps3 or 360, current gen users should have more privilage.

EA's getting there... althought their progress for customization has been a bit slow, at least they're doing it. The in-game edit dunkpackage feature has finally been implemented, so they definitely need to step it up a notch for Live 08 I hope. Like, ability to edit player's jumpshots most importantly, play styles frequencies (tendency to drive or just take a jumpshot etc like that).

NBA 2k7 will provide signature shots! For example, Kobe will have the "fadeaway jumper" as his signature shot.

Now I love this idea of signature shots because I hated not being able to pull off the fadeaways that Kobe does in real life, but with this feature it will be a lot of fun to have Signature shots, they should as well implement signature dunks.

Live 06 for 360 (next-gen) has signature shots for some players like Marion, Bonner, actually for alot of players. But alot of them look stupid such as Dirk's they make him bring the ball Waaaaaay too far behind his head.

Where did you see Dirk's shot animation? I've seen practically all the videos on the web many times...

Well his right, it looks like Dirk is avoiding getting blocked by shooting nearly behind his head in 360 Live 06. Its like he wants to fadeaway on jumpshots!

Well there isn't very many actual signature jumpshots. The do have KG's, Wade's, Parker's, Marion's, and McGrady's. Players are just assigned one of these forms or the generic ones. For example Dirk shoots the excact same as KG. Tracy, Kobe, and Lebron also all shoot the same.

ya, even in the perimeter. i once even saw him shoot a 3 when the shot clock was expiring and he still used his one hand set shot.
