Unless by some chance the PC version isn't a port, my guess it will be a port from the Xbox/PS2/Gamecube generation of consoles.

I'd say there's no chance in hell that the PC-version will be from the PS3 engine.

The "PS3-game" launches later than the "PC-game", which means more time in development, more time to make sure that the new stuff works and so on. I putting my money on Xbox/PS2/Gamecube generation for the PC. Atleast this year, 08 might be diffrent, but I doubt it.

Its much easier to update or fix an issue on the PC than it is on the system so there might be a slim chance. Knowing EA, chances are slimmer than slim can be slim on a slimmy slim day.

So basically, there's a 99% chance that we're getting a game made with a last year's graphic engine?

I'd say you are too optimistic. I say no chance that we'll get the PS3 graphics.

The PC version will be watered down and look much like the Xbox version. Why? If EA released a next-gen looking game for the PC hardly anyone will be capable of running it on their current CPUs. Now, in a few years, maybe, you'll see the higher quality graphics on the PC version but it's too early right now. I'd say maybe in NBA Live 08 or 09.

i say we get the same game as live 06 with a couple graphic upgrades, and a few more gameplay bugs.

I think they should not release an 07 for the PC (or just release the fastest, easiest port possible). Just spend an extra year working on making an actual PC interface, and release in 08.

They should release a special edition that has great graphics for the PC because a high end pc can look better than a PS3 or Xbox360.

i would be happy if we even get the 360 version. i think there is 1% chance in getting the ps3 or 360 version converted to pc.... i think we would have to wait 2 or 3 more years so that a lot of people have a good pc standard... meaning high-end pc now won't be as expensive or good as right now and 2 years later more people would upgrade their pc to the high end now....

I'm having a hard time understanding why people think a ps3 graphical nba live wouldn't be able to run on their pc. Has everyone forgotten that pc games have the ability to have it's graphics downgraded? It should be quite possible to lower the graphics to the level of this year's version for those with slow computors....as with EVERY iteration of nba live for the pc.

Maybe they can do like they did for King Kong PC. They made a version that is "normal" pc graphics, and they also made a "nextgen" version that was the same as the xbox 360. But not many computers could run it. I hope they do this with NBA live. If I decide to upgrade computer I can get the nice one, but if not I can still run the normal one that I think looks still great.

I'm guessing the Xbox 360 version will be out around the same time this year though. Even so, I agree the chances are very slim.

I thought about this as well. I'm not sure exactly how much they could water down the minimum graphical side of the game but I'd be all for that idea - we have always been able to downgrade/upgrade the visuals.

I'd say, NBA live 07 will look exactly like NBA live 06 for the PC. Except it'll have updated rosters and some game play add ons similar to the current gen games.

06 looked like 05 so I think we will get better graphics this year. At least I hope.
