No, they're not compatible.

There's a limited array of post moves in NBA Live 06 but most are performed by backing down. If you're using a dual analog gamepad, hold down on the right stick to back down your opponent. If you're using a keyboard, I'd recommend running a search on backing down with the keyboard here in the NBA Live 06 section for more information.
