Sorry,but I had to post this.I got Live 06 last night.

I was recently contacted by a friend of mine who was trying to get some extra money buy selling some of his pc games.I told him i did not have much but i would take look at his collection.I saw he had madden 08 and nba live 08.I thought to myself i need the madden 08 because my other disc broke and i will want the nba live 08 because the one i have is getting pretty beaten up.I told him i would take those two at a good price.So he sold them to me for only 2 dollars each.He only played them no more than five times each.(He is not into sports games.)

So anyways,he told me in these exact words."I have nba live 06.It is still in the package.Do you want it?".So i said "If it is free yes.".He said no.Then i agreed to buy it for 3 dollars since it was in the package.Now getting to my point.I installed the game as well as Andrew's full roster update.And all i have to say is ........wow.I freaking love the gameplay.The reactions of players when they get an "And1" and 8 players in the three point contest.I forgot about that 8 player format.There is some getting use to still but all in all,it is a great(not perfect)game.

Well done EA for creating this game.
And shame on you for ruining it after this title.
And thank you Andrew for the updated roster patch.
And most importantly,i would like to thank my friend for being a dumb-ass and not playing this game.

hahahah i really like those old games too they has something that live 08 had not.....i would just like that live 05 or 06 have editable jumpshots ONLY THAT and i would be definitely playing old games not live 08....damn you make me reinstall my nba live 05 again!wow what i would give to we can make jumshots somehow....i think that it is possible somehow it is..

Glad to hear you're enjoying the game. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with the updates for a while yet, there'll be at least one more roster out for the current season. Of course, it remains to be seen whether there'll be a 2011/2012 season, what with the lockout looming.

It's not possible to add signature jumpshots to NBA Live 2005 or 06. It's been tried before and it just can't be done.

Andrew,I have got a question.
What is the name of the original file for the scoreboard abbreviations?
I know in live 08 they are logos~score~xx_s.I can't seem to find the file in live 06.

That's because NBA Live 06 doesn't have them.

What generate's the team abbreviations then?

That's what the NBA Live PC Project for NBA Live 06 was intended to be. Unfortunately, we didn't get enough people helping out. It's as complete a project as we can manage with the people on hand who are still patching 06.
