How not to Dunk? lol

Postby reki46 on Tue Dec 21, 2010 8:55 pm

I don't want my player to keep on dunking, but whatever I do he seems to keep dunking lol. I already made his dunking rating to 1.

well if hes a scoring FSS you can manually trigger layups, but other than that just keep your hands off turbo and hope for the best.

he is still dunking with a 1 rating due to the dunk package.
Opinions are my own.

I see, so there's no really way to make that happen? I happen to also install the NBA Live PC project and the player I was wishing to not dunk was Stephen Curry lol. It's not that he dunks in real games, he's more of a finesse player. That's what I wanted to simulate.

There are a couple of dunk packages that don't include any dunks. That's what you need to change; specifically, you need to modify the DUNKPACK value in players.dbf using DB Commander.

More info in NBA Live 06 dunk packages can be found here:

Alright, that's great! Kinda new to this stuff but I remembered before I also did this thing with the Salary Cap but of course with a guide lol. Thanks! :D

edit*: Oh I encountered a problem, I can't seem to find Stephen Curry lol.

If you're using the NBA Live PC Project, his ID numbers are 3368 (Warriors) and 3436 (Rookies).

The players.dbf file you need to edit would be located in a save folder, yes.
