Yeah, it's so OK, but DBF editing is not a safe thing, you need to be a pro at that.

It was the trades you made by dbf editing. Remember that the team you are controlling has two sets of players in the dbf file. One that is current, and one that is older, and the game uses them to calculate progression. Reverse the player trade through dbf editing, but not the draft picks, and see if it still crashes when you go into the coaching menu.

Generally speaking, making trades for your own team via DBF editing in Dynasty Mode is fairly prone to crashing so it's not really recommended.

He already did it, he needs to reverse it. Basically look at the very bottom of the dbf file and you will find your "original players" that you started the season out with. You need to make sure their duplicates are also on your team. At least, this is my theory to what causes this crash.

My mistake, I thought he was asking if it would be possible to do somehow after he tried reversing the process to correct the errors he's having.

oh by the way, im not making trades thru DBF editing for my team OKC...im trading for other teams...like oj mayo for brandon roy, hamilton for boozer etc...trades involving my team are made in-game to give some challenge...another thing, but i doubt if it really matter, i also made DBF trades for other teams after the trade deadline...yes andrew, you got my point in your latter post, im thinking of doing DBF trades for other teams in a safe way :)

Usually trading for other teams is safe, there maybe an invalid value somewhere that's causing the crashes. As Pat said, probably best to retrace your steps, undo the changes, try to get everything working again and then try again. Just make sure that if you do get it working, you have a backup on hand before you try making the changes again.

Forget everything I said. I thought you made trades with your team via DBF.

What kind of roster or dynasty patches are you using. Any thing that mods the staff.dbf file?

This work?

Thanks Andrew, i'll just check it again...

Uhm, i'm just using Andrew's roster updates plus the TNT mod, Pdub...that's all. As far as i know, I believe the staff file was not modded. BTW, i tried to simulate it until the end of its current month and it crashed with that error. So what should be done?
