Ways too improve the draft class.

I feel like the drafts are always so bad. Best player in a draft like a 73. With a project strong draft class.
Really?

Is there a way to improve iit?

You can edit players before they are drafted (and certainly after they're drafted, too) but there's no way to change the scale used by the game when generating rookies.

It sounds like you have a cracked scout. What is your scout's rating?

Then again, a 73 is nothing to sneeze at. A strong draft class would mean they're filled 70's players, most with high up-sides/fast growth and maybe even a superstar or two right out of the box (that are still in the low 70's, but have an SA).

Also, the generator is random once you actually land said rookie after draft day. I don't have the skills to read system memory as the draft is going, but from re-loads, rookie stats aren't set until after they've accepted a contract (when I was allowed to save again).
If I don't reply back in a timely manner, thanks in advance.

The draftees are generated and available in players.dbf in the season before they're drafted (that's how they're scouted). Please see the Tutorials section for more info, I believe the tutorial you need to check out is in the NBA Live 2005 section but the information still applies to NBA Live 06.
