Help! Dynasty crash

Im doing a season with the NIcks, I installed the NBA Live PC Update for NBA Live 06.

A codebase error comes up on the screen, it says...

Error #: -70
Error #: 91102
Reading file
dfile4...()
C:DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\OWNER\MY DOCUMENTS\NBA LIVE 06\DATABASE\WORKINGD8\PLAYERS.DBF

I have another dynasty in its third season, no crashes, this dynasty is in its second..

I have made two trades in nba live editor..one on one transfers...
The game crashes after it simulates a cavs and bucks game..on the last day of the month

any help would be truly appreciated..

Delete all the files in your workingdb and currentb folders, re-load your Dynasty then try again.

Does it again...It doesnt even let me sim one game..

I think this is from an error that NBA editor created. Because I tried another franchise, after using editor, and the same thing happened..And nothing happened when i didnt use it..

So, don't use it? If you want uneven trades or whatever, do them before starting a dynasty. Or any trades. Don't mess with dbf and dat files when you don't know exactly what you're doing. I also tried a trade via dbf editing once. It also crashed during simulation.

it also happened to me recently during my second season with the Twolves (that time it was TEAM.DBF something). i can't simulate one game at the start of the season. i don't know what happened as i did not do any dbf editing. it's quite disappointing as i signed Jason Kidd to a very cheap contract and traded a couple of bench players for Josh Howard plus i drafted the #2 pick.

Have you tried deleting the files in workingdb and currentdb? Also try re-loading the rosters before you load your Dynasty, that works for some people.

unfortunately, i already deleted my Twolves dynasty file when it happened. but i will try what you suggested if my dynasty crashes again. actually, i'm in my first season as Thunder GM and i'm very excited for the off-season as i will have $41M to spend on free agents (salary cap is $69.92M).

Best of luck, hopefully you won't have to troubleshoot it. I would certainly recommend saving your game twice each time you complete a game or transaction; it's handy to have a backup of your Dynasty just in case.
