NBA Live PC Project v1.1 Released

Postby Andrew on Sun Apr 19, 2009 1:18 am

A new version (v1.1) of the NBA Live PC Project for NBA Live 06 is now available to download. As before, three seperate downloads are available:

 Full Download (69.3 MB)
 Rosters Only (672 kB)
 Art Only (68.9 MB)

Key features of v1.1

  • 2008/2009 Season Rosters accurate as of April 17th, 2009
  • Player ratings updated for more realistic performance
  • Primacy ratings updated for better shot distribution
  • Player positions and data updated/corrected
  • Cyberfaces and portraits for missing players
  • Jerseys, logos and courts Updated for the 2008/2009 season
  • East/West All-Stars Updated for All-Star Weekend 2009
  • Rookie/Sophomore teams Updated for All-Star Weekend 2009
  • Player Accessories Updated
  • Contract & Salary Info Updated
  • Seattle Supersonics changed to Oklahoma City Thunder
  • Simple Installation Routine
  • Fixed Shoes
  • Fixed Legends Ratings
  • Coaches Updated
  • Second 90s All-Stars team added

Additional Release Notes

  • Although I'd added PhatGeezer's Latin Night and Bulls Green Week jerseys in this update, this is primarily a roster/lineups update owing to the fact that I'm releasing four simultaneous roster updates. NBA Live PC is an ongoing Project and we will be putting more resources to use in future versions (hopefully including the Real Shoes patch once I get a few roster issues sorted out). In the meantime, there's certainly alternate sgsm packs and art about so feel free to substitute and add to your personal installation as desired.

  • If you're going for the roster only download, be aware that a new player has been added to the roster (Chris Hunter), who did not have a face included in v1.0.

That's about it. Feedback is, as always, most welcome.

No worries. (Y) Cool screen, though I have a feeling the Bulls will be seeing far too much of that over the next week or so. :(

Hey, thanks for all the work with the Live PC project. I've been visiting NBA-Live for a few years now, but I guess I never posted anything.

Anyways, I just downloaded the full package and tried it out; the rosters were properly updated and the OKC team was there, but the art didn't seemed to have installed (I was playing with the Raptors -- several players had pink heads and the main home-away jerseys were still purple).

I did a windows search for mijorda.fsh, but the only files that the search found were the Update/Faces Troubleshooting text files that came with Live roster updates.

So I'm not sure what to do -- any help would be great, thanks.

Have you installed NBA Live 06 to a different folder than the defaylt? If so, check to make sure the art hasn't been installed to C:\Program Files\EA Sports\NBA Live 06\sgsm anyway and if it has, move the contents (including the subfolders) to your actual sgsm folder (eg C:\Games\NBA Live 06\sgsm).

Hey Andrew, question: is it necessary to have v1.0 installed? Because couldn't download it yet :P

i think v1.0 is not a requirement of this patch...i ran into a problem with the shoes...i think the problem is i have the files for the real shoe patch by xiaoju that i converted...so the files are different for me...but i was able to fix it... :D

Ahhh, thanks Marek and Andrew for your replies -- I figured out what I had done wrong. My NBA Live 06 folder is not the default directory, and so when I installed it, I redirected it to the right folder, but in doing that, the files were created into a new folder inside the 06 folder instead of just adding em to the 06 folder itself.

Anyways, the release seems really well done, great job. (Y)

Oh and thierryhenry50, you don't need the original 1.0 version for this 1.1 release to work... atleast, I didn't seem to need it.

Does the art pack include the real shoe patch files that fumanchu has converted for live 06?

No, I didn't include the converted Real Shoes patch in this one as I wanted to doublecheck a few things first.

I keep having trouble with the alternate jersey of Pistons. I could only use the jersey one time after i install the patch. Since then, alternate jersey dissapeared in jersey choices, which remain current home, away and some retro. So weird that it only happens with Detroit alternate, Lakers alternate works fine

by disappear do you mean it never shows up on the jersey select screen? if this is the case, i think it's with your teamgear.dbf file...try re-loading the roster from the Load/Save menu instead of reinstalling the whole patch...if this doesn't work, i'm sure Andrew will be able to assist you..

That's a weird one, teamgear.dbf entries don't just disappear. Try reloading the roster.

Andrew, I did exactly what fumanchu said. i reload uninjured roster and the alternate jersey reappeared. I used it to play the game, but the jersey only worked unless i exit to window. Really weird that problem happens only with my favorite team. :(

I'll take a look but that one has me stumped, I've never heard of that happening before. Obviously the game will crash if it can't find the appropriate jersey files or if there's a problem with them but I've never had them disappear before outside loading a roster that doesn't have a custom jersey added.

Did you install the beta art pack? If so, it contained a Raptors court update that wasn't fixed yet. There should be no crashes with just the stable release installed, try deleting any files in your sgsm folder that begin with toro and then reinstall the NBA Live PC update.

Andrew, did you also include AIACT v0.3 of Pdub posted in this section? If not, could you suggest me the best AIACT patch for 2006?
