PC project troubleshoots

Postby oXxwoahxXo on Sun Mar 22, 2009 6:49 pm

first of all i must thank Andrew for putting all these jersey and courts etc... together~ :D :D
it was realy nice of you to take your time to do this for us~~~ :applaud:
i was so excited i started playing the newest Nba live PC v.1
but then i found some problems
there were a lot of pink areas in the allstar 09 courts...the audience seats and the stairs were pink.
for audiences in Oklahoma, timberwolves had faces on their LEGS.. it was kinda freaky for me...
and the game crashed when i wanted to use sixer's alternate jersey...
other than that it was really good~
thanks to ANdrew and the patchers who contributed to this project~

Sounds like the art didn't install properly. Check the Faces Troubleshooting.txt file as everything that needs to be included was included and I didn't find any missing textures with what I've put together for v1.0. No crashes either and the Sixers jerseys are definitely included so they shouldn't crash.

The same kind of thing happens with the 07 and 08 updates though, the installation just doesn't work properly for some people. It's just a matter of moving the art to the sgsm folder from wherever it's erroneously been placed though, again see Faces Troubleshooting.txt for some tips on how to track down that problem and fix it.

I have actually found an issue with the installation, you'll need to move philhome.viv, philser2.viv and philaway.viv from your sgsm folder to sgsm\uniforms. That will correct the issue with the Sixers jersey. I'll fix that up in the installation too. Otherwise, everything else should work fine.

if Andrew used my all star court into this project, just delete all files that has xxxxstd on it. If you have live 08 installed on your computer, open live 08's sgsm/stadia folder and look for alls.viv then place it into your NBA Live 06 sgsm/stadia folder.

It shouldn't be necessary, v1.0 contains the NBA Live 08 stadium .viv files and Jao did some work on the courts as well.

I got everything you sent me working alright though. I ended up taking out the Minnesota court patch for the moment so none of the files I've included should cause problems, there's only a handful of court updates in v1.0.

yea
i had to do a clean install of nba live 06 just to not crash because I had too many conflicting files in the sgsm folder
and yea
court files from nba live 08 do work, but you may have to delete the previous files if you start seeing pink spots.....

------------EDIT-------------
BTW, should I start adding on custom dornas to make it more realistic? I shall give credit to dorna makers, like Supreme and from std files from the court patchers of NBA Live 08 and maybe 07.....

A clean install probably wouldn't be a bad idea in general just in case there is anything from the beta pack that's causing issues (like skin files).

then it could be an art file that you have relating to the all-stars...it could be the jersey, the court, or a CF...just a wild guess

If you've installed the beta art before the stable release, chances are you've still got some files in there that will cause a crash. These are the only files that should be in your sgsm folder related to the All-Star court:

alls_lightbloom.fsh
alls_lightmap.fsh
allsbbd.ebo
allsbbd.fsh
allsbbd_refl.ebo
allscrt.ebo
allscrt.fsh
allscrt_vram.fsh
allsstd.fsh
allsstd_vram.fsh

Any other files that begins with alls can be removed.

I already did what you say but it still crashes in the allstar game. The rookie game, 3 point and dunks works but the main allstar wont/ I believe it is because of the jerseys but i dont know how

Are you sure you don't have any other updates installed? I've tested all the All-Star Weekend modes and there definitely shouldn't be a problem with the All-Star game or the jerseys.

Well what kind of updates? I haven't installed any jerseys. Cyberfaces, a lot.
TNT MOD

Have you tried the all-star in dynasty?

Yes. It should work fine.

I'd try temporarily removing the TNT mod. Basically, we can only test and guarantee that everything works with the included files for NBA Live PC. We can't guarantee that you won't run into problems if you've got other mods installed.
