Played a game vs. the Knicks, everything was good but could u tweak it a lil bit so that there is more post-plays for the big men, and tweak it so that there's less PG domination and more passes before a shot is put up by the cpu. Thanks

More passes? When I tested it I was getting alot more passes then I thought I should have. Guess I should test it some more. I agree with the post plays, I didn't see any backdown plays. I did see some nice fastbreaks with the point guard actually throwing behind him to a wide open spot up shooter after his driving lane was cutoff.

Some more info - I am testing it with Andrew's converted beta roster, DEFAULT sliders, except I have the game speed set to 55.

Because there were alot of 3s taken by the cpu and not a whole lot of post up plays therefore i thought there weren't enough passing going on since there wasn't that many passes to the big men down low. But most of the other aspects of the gameplay were good

BTW, i really appreciate that you, PDUB has committed to this LIVE PC project and i can't thank you enuff for working on the AIACT. Looking forward to ur progress man

Kris, why don't you start on your own if you are going to make one for 06.

I just realized that I had some left over "stuff" that was causing some weird things during the gameplay on my machine, like no layups, haha.

Here is a newer version which should have more post play.

Hi Pdub,

There's an error with Rapidshare.

Played clev versus wshington (12mins)
gamespeed- 40
user onball defense assist-50
user/cpu physical defense-99
user/cpu physical defense-99
everything besides these are default.......

went to overtime, final score(user130clev-cpu131was) winningshot by jamison

+balance scoring (5 washington players score atleast double fig.) :D
+pick n roll is set to perfection by the cpu :D
+cpu rarely used FSS abilty :D ( I'm not sure if this is good but it lessen the domination of cpu fss players)

-cpu took 106 FG shots
-fastbreak are too much( same prob for the default aiact of EA)
-offensive rebounding is too much  (probably this can be fix by adjusting the off rebounding settings)
-for some odd reason, when the game is close for the last 4 min of the 4th quater, washington subbed out ARENAS and BUTLER  even though there are not in foul trouble or fatigued.!!!! Washington did not bring them back for the remaning minutes of the 4th quarter were they have a chance to win it

BTW the link for the second AIACt is Dead

Just played a game against the Sonics with the new AIACT, noticed that:

1) There were lot more post plays
2) More passing

Must improve on:

But it seems that the cpu would only take shots from outside the 3pt line or if the cpu was really close to the basket. I think you may need to tweak the AIACT a little bit more so that there is more mid-range game since i noticed that if the cpu is on the perimeter they would usually dribble in for a layup most of the time instead of pulling up for a mid-range 2pt shot.

If you can add more of a mid-range game for the cpu (pull-up jump shot) this AIACT will be perfect for the project, keep it up!

Yeah the cpu seems to attempt a fastbreak anytime you miss a shot. I don't play 12 minute quarters, but I will see if I can get the cpu to use more set plays to slow things down. After I edited it, the cpu seems to use less. I think if I can get the cpu to use those set plays, there will be more midrange shots. It was reminding me of 08 because I was watching my players lolly-gag back on defense while the cpu was on the break.

The offensive rebounding has always been a gripe about this game. Like, if you jump early, the ball will fly over your player, but if you jump late, you might get it. I'm not certain about that, though.

I don't know about the substitution thing. I never thought editing the aiact had an impact on subs, but it seems to because people have mentioned things about substitution ever since I started making AIACT patches.

Since the aiact file is only 30 KB, I will upload it to the NLSC from now on.

I will be editing more today so I might release a new version.

Cool thanks, the fastbreak problem wasn't a big deal to me but i'm looking forward to more midrange shots instead of the excess amount driving for layups/dunks

http://www.speedyshare.com/
http://www.sendspace.com/

both easy and simple for uploader and downloaders

When I first got my premium account, rapidshare was damn awesome. I don't know what happened between then and now, but their download speed just dropped tragically(50-100 kb/s as opposed to 400+) and I feel like I am only paying for unlimited downloads. Some of the files are still downloading very fast, and I heard of some traffic sharing thing or p2p program that uses rapidshare, so I bet that's part of it.

v0.2 - Experimental. Probably too much passing, chaotic gameplay. I believe I fixed the fast breaks and the 3 point issue. Most scoring comes from inside, although there are a few mid range shots, there still needs to be more.

Ya, there's much scoring inside. Once the big men gets the ball, all he wants to do is dunk/shoot when he's close to the rim. Also perimeter players will always look to drive it to the hoop and when u stop them, they would pass it to someone else and then he would try to drive it in.

If you can find a balance of inside, outside, and mid-range scoring, it'll be perfect but for now, it's too much inside scoring at the moment.

v.2

fixed fastbreak domination (Y)
better ball distribution than v0.1 (Y)

the problem with the insidescoring is somewhat the same with the fastbreak domination on version .1, CPU exploit it like helllllll, can u imagine RASHARD LEWIS makes 6 consecutives inside shot  ;)

Download v0.3

Plays very well, I believe. Only a few problems I noticed were some back and forth passes between a post and perimeter player and that the cpu isn't shooting layups when near the rim, but jumpshots. The cpu ran a few set plays, but no so many that they got repetitive or predictable. I think there are too many passes on fast breaks which lead to players stopping near the rim and passing to a teammate who is just standing there. That may be a result of me adding more passes to the basic offensive flow.
