Player evolutions...

Is there a way or how the way you play to increase or decrease a player's weight? Also asking about the way to improve their muscular body etc.?

You could do it through Create-A-Player...

the_kaiser, nba live 06 dynasty doesn't have that feature..body types do not change however you practice with a player..if you're really interested, you can change a player's body type and weight through DBF editing.. ;)

JRMagic, you cannot change a player's attributes by creating another player..

I meant Edit-a-player.

I'm pretty sure you could make the player fatter and skinnier through that screen.

But your right, if your as fat as a elephant, it still wouldn't make the player run slower/faster.

I didn't mean that personally.

JRMagic, you cannot edit a non-created player's body type through EDIT PLAYER.

Yea, I just tried and it locked that BODY feature...

Sorry the_kaiser, Jenner is right, the only way you can do that is through DBF Editing.

But I wonder if you could unlock that BODY feature through DBF Editing too...

yes. and that is through dbf editing too.. open your players.dbf and change the ISCREATED attribute in players.dbf to True.

Of course, if you're going to poke around in the dbfs you might as well make all the changes there.

Thanks guys for the informations...

Im asking about my dynasty...

Ex. If I play Bynum in like more physical way, would i expect that he will gain weight or be more muscular after a few years in my dynasty?

Thanks again guys! :)

Players will develop physically but as with the development/decline of ratings between seasons, you can't influence it with how you use your players.

Re: Player DE-evolutions...

Postby Shoot1stAskL8R on Mon Dec 29, 2008 4:34 pm

Sorry to borrow the topic.

Is there any warning of a player DE-evolution?
I had traded for Brent Barry from the Spurs and had him all year. After the finals, I saw his stats stayed the same, but his Superstar power (Shooter) disappeared!

His FG is still 80, his 3P is 84, his FT is 86... the only thing different is that he's 34 (and still has two years on his contract). I thought a Shooter only needed 80+ in these three stats?
If I don't reply back in a timely manner, thanks in advance.

Usually, they will show the player "de-evolve" in the offseason before the next season starts.

FSS Shooters need a FT rating of 87 which is a bit much frankly, but that one point decrease is what would've caused him to lose the Shooter ability.

Gah. Thanks though. I don't think I received any messages about his stats lowering, only those who've gained new FSS abilities and players retiring..

You do sometimes see reports of players declining/losing abilities but only if they physically change (ie grow taller or gain/lose weight and muscle mass) as well.
