I had recently edited the generated rookies for my dynasty and here are a few lessons that I've learnt:
1. Make a backup of your original dynasty in case anything should go wrong during editing.
2. Prior to beginning a new season in your dynasty, it's best if you just change the names of the rookies to those of the names you want to include.
3. Then proceed to go through the off-season process. When you can begin your next dynasty, save the file and you can begin editing the rookies by using DB Commander. Files you need to edit are the players.dbf and appearance.dbf.
4. Take note of the player ID (in players.dbf) and make sure you copy the values to the corresponding AppearID in the appearance.dbf file.
5. Copy all the players fsh files into your sgsm folder so that they will not have pink heads.
6. You should be ready to play your next season now.
