does anybody have tips on coaching.I always assign my coach to players to train and i barely get any results.the only thing i get is an annoying message on the PDA that says "twindling my thumbs"

You almost always get that message when the time you've assigned an assistant coach has expired. It's essentially just an annoying reminder that you need to assign time again.

To get the best results, you'll need a coach with high ratings. A coach rated D in any category (or overall, for that matter) is not going to get any results anytime soon. Also note that not every player has the same development potential, which is governed by a hidden attribute called DESTINY. Players with a higher DESTINY rating will be more likely to develop.

Training players for a couple of weeks at a time is usually a safe bet. Whichever player you choose to focus on has the best chance of developing but when you assign time, all of your players will be trained.
