how to be GM beyond 2030?

Postby FerdBrown on Fri Sep 28, 2007 3:44 pm

i am about to finish the end of my 25-year lakers dynasty but my team is so successful i just don't want to retire myself.

what can i do to move beyond the year 2030? maybe starting over but this time edit something so the season starts 2030-2031? how do i do it?

or, can i import my current league rosters to start another dynasty? i have won championships for the past 22 years and just don't want to stop winning

actually, if you could do me a favor and upload that dynasty, I'll be glad to convert it into a roster for you so you can restart the dynasty. It will be 2005 again but you will be able to go another 25 years after starting off with your current rosters.

And the reason I want to see this is because I am very curious to see what a roster will look like with 25 years worth of generated rookies.

shouldnt be that big

goto my documents, nba live 07, saves, then find the name of your dynasty.

Right click the folder
select Send To
then Compressed (zipped) folder.

wait for the operation to finish then goto rapidshare.com or speedyshare.com and upload that file you created.

then find the link it gives you for the download and either post that here or PM it to me if you dont want to post it in public.

there ya go, take that folder that is inside the zip file and put it in the NBA Live 06/saves folder. You will need to load it up (its a roster) then start a new dynasty. good luck

there is a used game store in the town next to me with 97 - 2000 for the PC. Problem is he's charging 20 bucks a pop for them. I gotta look at EBay sometime. But anyway I keep them all installed not because I play them (i do but not that much), but they are amazing resources for textures. 2001's textures make 07's look like shit actually.

i have difficulty downloading from both sites...

anyway a few things i noticed down the the 25-year GM stint: the PC creates "clone players", ie they look the same depending on where thet come from. usually asian generated rookies, and those from europe and also from africa - they look the same.

the season second-best utah jazz, my favorite playoff opponent for 3 years, has 3 players in the starting line-up that were identical i thought i play against brothers.

so far the max rating that i was able to develop from my rosters were to 96 only. the rest of the pc i noticed can go as high as 84-85, but not beyond it. i'm not sure about you guys out there.

my best season was 2023-2024 where i had 90s from the first five down to the 6th and 7th man. and i did not get them trading in the 90s. they grow from within :)

i hired the most expensive 3 assistant coaches there is available, and the cheapest scout and trainor.

hey JaoSming thank you very much! i got the file. (Y)

anyway, any idea how to edit the birthyear of a player? i will edit them myself once i know how.

since we're back in 2005, i would have to edit their birthyear 30 years earlier. so far i got some teams with many players aged zero or one year old

my team has a lot of players aged 30-40 originally and when i start over i am just waiting for them to retire so i can get new young players.

i successfully changed the birthyear -25 to all players but when i opened the game, i cannot even go to the reorder roster as it hangs. once it showed a glimpse of the atlanta hawks (default team showing in reorder rosters) but everything in it has zero value (ratings, ht wt etc). and one player has disappeared from the lneup.

i went alt-tab, desktop shows "codebase error". i just edited the birthyear. anything amiss?

just the db commander.

i actually compared using your original file year 2030 and played it and it works. but the file where i changed the birthyear -25 it did not work. said something about a "codebase error - appearance". do i need to edit something else aside from this?

the atlanta hawks player i just went to sign/release and released that ghosted roster to free agency. it has zero value and system also hangs in edit player mode when this is clicked.

but even when released, dynasty still crashes.
