Freezing

my nba live 06 freezes almost every time i pause the game, it has practically no scratches and i have cleaned it several times, does anyone know what i can do to fix this problem

Have you installed any patches? You might want to consider removing them temporarily to see if any of them are causing conflicts. Other than that, you might want to consider reinstalling the game.
