Dynasty Mode loading crash

Sorry if this question has come up before:
Trying to start a new dynasty. I start up, choose a team, hire coaches, and sim training camp. As the "Simulating" training camp bar reaches near the end, the game closes and I'm back in Windows. I've tried it multiple times with different teams and gotten the same result.
I'm running the game on a Dell Latitude D610 laptop. I've had the game for about a year now and have started a few dynasties in that time without this problem. I've never edited any of the game's files or anything like that. The regular "Play Now" mode works fine.
Anyone have any any idea what my problem is?
