A Problem I have with the "Player of The Game" sys

I was playing a game vs the Cavaliers. i was using the Seattle Sonics. at the end of the Game..Luke Ridnour has 17 Points,14 Asissts. and 6 steals. I knew for a fact, i just knew he was finna get the player of the game.

i went to the player of the game thing and they had Rashaad Lewis as the POG. he had 30 Points, 0 Rebs, 0 Assts, 0 Steals, 0 Blocks.

I personally always felt the player of the game is the person who had the best ALL Around Game/Impact, not just based purely on points. I don't like that at all.

if one player has 50 points and 0 everything else, but one player has 15 points,20 rebounds, and 10 assists i think the person with the 15-20-10 was the best player in the game.

what yall think?

but it just wasnt goood enough.. if someone has a triple double then they would get potg.. otherwise lots of points means player of the game

I think it should be like a fantasy system... Points+assist+reb+Steal+blocks-(missed shots and turnovers)=Player of game.. whoever has the highest total of positive stats minus negative stats basically..... FG% can be included also

most of the time it's the player with the most points, win or lose. however, in my simmed game last night, sonics vs. pistons, allen and lewis had 18 points each but fortson was player of the game with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Duh, Ridnour and Lewis are both on the Sonics...
