Start with custom button config?

Postby ImDuncanOnYou on Sat Aug 12, 2006 9:03 am

I've already searched for something like this and couldn't find it: I have a logitech rumblepad 2 controller. Is there any way I can make it so that when I start the game it's already on my button config settings? I've tried going into the config folder in my documents/nba live 06/config and calling my config file the logitech rumblepad 2 config file, but that didn't work . Any advice? :?

Hmm, can't you just save the controls as the default one ('Keyboard')?

The game recognizes my controller. So when I click on the controller icon when I'm selecting teams, it's already set on Logitech Rumblepad 2. That being said, I cannot alter the controls and then save over it by using the same name. The game will not allow it.

Can't you just save it with a different name? That's what I do, I have like 6 different confiqs in my game for my friends.

I know I can save it with a different name. I just want it so that I don't have to switch to my controls everytime I start the game up again.

goto My Documents\NBA LIVE 06\configs and change generic.jfg to something else, and rename "your config" to generic.jfg

should work, havent tried it tho

Edit: nope, sorry it didnt work for me

So the problem is that you don't want to have to switch everytime you play? That seems pretty lazy, unless your profile is somewhere in the middle, in which case you should name it 'a___', then it's right at the end and you only have to go back once.

Lazy or not I'm just wondering . My controller automatically starts up on Logitech Rumblepad 2. So I would change the Logitech Rumblepad 2 config not the generic. But, as I already stated in my first post, I've tried that. I don't get why that doesn't work though.
