Has anyone thought of changing stats for better accuracy?

I'm not entirely sure, but I think some stats may be slightly off. I always thought that Ben Wallace's Power should be higher (95 rather than 90) and that Josh Smith's Block should be in the low 80s rather than the 70s.

Anyone agree? Discussion?

Well, I just want to make sure my corrections are accurate, and to see if anyone else had suggestions.

Ratings (especially the ones put out by EA), are never meant to be set out in stone, so it's perfectly fine to tweak the ratings around to your preference. I sometimes tweak a few players here and there myself, but normally I'd only bump up or drag down their ratings a notch or two.

I'm not asking if it's okay to do or not, I just made this topic mainly for discussion of accurate stat changes.

Well, everyone plays at a different level and style, so I don't think there really is a true "accurate" change for ratings. Some people might play terrible defence and like to beef up their player's defensive awareness ratings or something, so there really isn't much to talk about when it comes to tweaking something for your personal preference.

Well, I meant stats that are best in-line with a player's real life talent so that they're as good on the game as they are in real life, or as close to it as possible.

No one has any suggestions? Well, here's mine, if anyone wants to justify/go against them, I don't care. I generally use Per Game/Per 48 Minutes/Total statistics to formulate the stats.

Josh Smith- BlK: 85
LeBron James- 3 Pt: 75, Blk: 35, Ins. Scr: 85
Ben Wallace- Strength: 95
Dwyane Wade- Ins. Scr: 89, Hardy: 80, Pass: 77
Kobe Bryant- Ins. Scr: 85
Shawn Marion- 3 Pt: 73
Allen Iverson- Ins. Scr: 75
Jason Kidd- D. Reb: 80
Rasheed Wallace- 3 Pt: 78

Jason Kidd is one of the best rebounding guards in the history of the game, and Ben Wallace... eh, there's no stat for strength in the NBA. Meh.

I think some of your ratings are a tad too high.

Kidd's rebounding is fairly good for a guard, but having an 80 rating is comparable to someone who's going to consistently get 8-10 rebounds a game, maybe even more. LeBron can't shoot threes either; having a 75 3 point rating makes him a three point threat; which he isn't.

I personally don't like to bump up the blocking and rebounding ratings too much simply because rebounding and blocking are already a bit overpowered.

Sometimes the type of sliders you use can affect how sharply you adjust your ratings for players, so I guess its more a matter of preference like I said earlier.
