File Problems

Postby Juve404 on Sun Jul 23, 2006 7:44 am

I have a serious problem. I'm using a season mode in NBA Live 06 to do an NBA Sim League. The problem is, I'm going to have to switch computers soon. I'm trying to use file hosting to transfer my season and roster files from this computer to my other one. However, I'm not sure it's going to work. Can anyone suggest some ways I can take these files to another computer and install them successfully in my computer at home. That way I can play my season and get my rosters from my NBA Live here and play them there.

Burn the necessary files to a cd (rosters, saved game etc etc).

I've tried that before, and it doesn't work. Once I do that, what would I need ot make the files work. How would I transfer them to the other computer?

Open the window displaying the cd contents (contents of data disc).

Right click / send to / my documents (this should move the entire files to the my documents folder and not just shortuts)

Reinstall the NBA Live and then move the files you placed in my documents to the appropriate folders.

Thanks, I'll try that. Does anyone else have any other suggestions? I'd like to have a bunch of options, so if one doesn't work I'll have back-ups.

You can also use a usb flash drive instad of a cd (depending on how big the file is). That is assuming you have one.

well there is the easiest way-

simply use winzip/winrar to zip/rar your saved folder in your saves folder so if your season is called SimLeague then its the SimLeague folder in My Documents\NBA Live 06\saves.

so once you do that upload your new zip/rar file to rapidshare.de, or www.megaupload.com, or www.filefront.com, or www.sendspace.com
your choice
you get a download link. so just download it from your other computer and once you download it unzip/extract the folder in the rar/zip file into your saves folder. there you go 8-)
