I don't know if you guys know this, you may or may not, but if you pull back on the left analog stick and press the Jump Stop button, you'll do a nice little step back move. It's not much, but it can create separation.

Hes talking about the step back move where the player jumps behind the 3 point line
which i must say is a very sick/realistic/cool move
sorry tho, its not new, its been in the game since 2004
but if you do want a cool little pass, do a normal jump stop and pass while in the animation. kinda like a no look

and its not just step back! you can do step side (iether lef or right) or step forward!!! the combination in PS2 is the triangle button and left analog!!! duh
