Getting the most visually out of Live 06

Postby Silas on Thu Jul 06, 2006 8:31 am

Alright, I want to see how I can get the best visual experience out of Live.

In looking through the screenshot thread I noticed Fasz especially had pretty nice graphics.

So I've tried to compile a list of stuff you need to get the best graphics, but If I'm missing something please tell me.

* Andreas Dahl's court patches
Herein the Downloads Section

* Better looking Cyberfaces
Get them at the following three places

NLSC Downloads Section

4th Quarter.net Downloads Section I recommend any Utopia cyberfaces, he's fantastic

NBA Live.org Downloads Section

++Plus, JaoSming11's Create-A-Player texture update++
Get It Here

* Updated Jerseys (i.e. frAn or Conrad)
FrAn's Jersey thread Conrad's Complete Jersey Updates by Division

* Lighting Patches (choose one)

* Pdub's sweat patch

* Up to date shoe patches

Seraph's Shoe Patches

Anyway, if I'm missing anything please let me know because it'd be nice for me and others to know what we need to get the most out of the game visually.

If it does get stickied I'll put links to each of the patches. It always bugs me when I have to reinstall the game then try and find all the stuff I used to have. It'd be easier if it was all in one place.

Yeah, I wish people used the download section more often, cause it seems you have to surf the announcements/requests section to get the best patches.

I'd sticky it right now but I'll leave that decision up to a more seasoned moderator... as there's already a gob of stickies in this section. Good thread (Y).

Not a bad idea. A thread to weed out the crap patches from the really good ones. Though the main site has a nice rating system.

Well we could just make a big "Patch Bundle" that is one giant download or a two part download and put it in the DL section that way we wouldn't have another stickied thread.

The bundle could just include all the best CF's, the sweat/lighting patch, andrews roster patch, and Dahl's court patchs. If you really wanted it nice it could also include all the jersey updates for the regular teams (no alternate jerseys that way they dont have to add DBF code) from frAn or Conrad.

Actually you could put the alternate jerseys in one big download as long as the rosters that you release with them are already edited. Also, don't forget the new basketball patch(es). :wink:

The 07 ball? I swear I fixed it, then I just went to try again, and it gave me the same error. I can't even upload it again because the service is down for "maintenance".

EDIT - Nevermind, I updated the ball. Here's the thread link - http://www.nbaliveforums.com/ftopic39413-50.php

You also need brightness up to 90, and if you're using Fasz's lighting patch put brightness at 100 (only if you're playing on Dahl's courts though because otherwise the court is too bright)

Yea your video card is unable to support lighting. Mine doesnt either but whenever I download someone elses settings, like jimmy's with his aiact, lighting is on even though it says off. Maybe that will work for you.

Sweat patch doesn't work for me either, though I have lighting turned on. It's soo frustrating.

Anyway, nice thread... it helps a lot.
