superstar game introductions

Postby caml17 on Wed Jul 05, 2006 2:13 am

This is about the game intros for a "play now" game where it shows a home team superstar doing some of their superstar moves on the court. Does anyone know how to change it so someone else can do the intros as well? example:
for Toronto, the only player it will ever show is Chris Bosh (inside scorer). If I made TJ Ford a playmaker, it never shows his playmaker intro. Does someone know how to fix that so it will do both, (alternating) like the spurs can do all of Ginobli, Duncan, Bowen, and Parker.
My guess that it's somewhere in some dbf but if anyone knows let me know, thanks

I haven't tried it myself so I can't guarantee it will work, but you might want to try changing their ISORIGSS value to True so the game recognises them as a player who had FSS abilities by default. That's the only hidden attribute I can think of that might influence the FSS cutscenes aside from a player having FSS abilities in the first place.

alright thanks for the help guys
another question, how does it determine which cutscene to show if they have more than one? For example Chris Bosh only shows scorer, never shows his inside stopper. Another kind of pointless question, I'm just curious.

lol im not sure...

man thats a hard question...
i think most of the time it will just show the offensive fss, it will only show the defensive fss if the person is only a defensive fss..thats only my opinion. i am probably wrong

For players with multiple FSS abilities, it will show whichever one they currently have activated. A jerry pointed out, offensive FSS cutscenes seem to have priority over the cutscenes for defensive FSS, unless a player only has defensive FSS abilities.

cool.
that was a fun experiment. I just changed TJ ford's ISORIGINALSS to True, and now it alternates between his playmaker scene and Bosh's scorer scene. Shwing

I thought that might do the trick, it's the only other variable I could think of that could possibly affect it. Good to know it works. :)
