Hi,
I don't have the Live 06 or my new PC yet, but I was wondering if settings like AA and AF make a difference in a game like NBA Live or not?!
Which settings are recommended and make a difference and which ones are overkill?! Or can you simply turn off AA and AF?

Hi,
I wanted to know which AA and AF settings most people use here, ie. that make a visible difference.. you can always go higher but then you loose framerates ofcourse.. so which are the recommended settings used by most people here?!
Does AA and AF make really that much of a visible difference in a game like Live '06? Do things look better when turned on (which levels) or doesn't it much difference so you aswell turn it off for max. framerates?
What's your opinion and recommended AA and AF settings?! Thanks!

AA and AF make every game look better. AA removes jagged edges while AF make angled textures clearer. The higher AA and AF the better aslong as its not killing your games framerate. It all depends what graphics card u have as to what AA and AF settings youll be able to achieve.
NBA Live is a graphically weak game so on
Nvidia 6800 Ultra or ATI x800XT youll probably be able to run 4xAA and 4 or 8xAA fine.
On the new 7800's or x1800's youll be able to run full 6xAA and 16xAF

<-- ATI X800 XT-PE, I use 4xAA because fraps can still record about 25 fps with it but with 6x its playable, but not recordable. You don't really need AF unless you use a really low camera view like sideline, but I can put it up to 16, I use 4 or 8. AA makes a big difference in the jagged outline of players and the court lines, especially if you use a lower resolution.
