graphics card help please

ok i need everyones help. i dont really know a lot about computers. so now let me tell you what my problem is. i bought nba live 06 and everything looks fine. until, i get to the actuall game. the stands are black, the players are pink, and the court is black. i actually tried playing like that cause i really wanted to play this game when i bought it. i was so excited but then let down. i looked around on these threads and people had similar problems but there computer wasnt like mine. everything looks really good but then when i actually play you know what happens :). so im thinking i need a simple video card that i could get for 40 bucks something like that on ebay, walmart, target, ect. if someone could help me it would be so appreciated. like what could i buy thats cheap and easy.
