Who Would YOU Choose?

Postby Its_asdf on Sun Jun 18, 2006 5:04 am

I've lost my interest in Live 06 a long time ago, but something about it (I think its the awesomeness of Qyntel Woods), keeps me wanting to come back to play this game.

And as most of you know, if I'm going to play the game then I might as well play it in dynasty mode. And if I'm going to play the game in dynasty mode that means I'll need to choose a team.

So enough rambling on my part; the thread is pretty simple. Just vote for whichever team you want me to use in my spanking brand new dynasty. Oh, and give your reasons why too.

I've narrowed it down to either Orlando, Golden State (I'm heavily favouring this one), Portland, Sarcramento or... You guessed it, my favourite and hometown team, the Raptors.

I'm open to any other suggestions for any other team, but I don't normally enjoy playing with a team like San Antonio or Detriot, since they're a tad too talented for my tastes and I'd like to "build" a team from the bottom up, preferably one with a lot of young talent.

Warriors. There were only few Warriors dynasties this year.

Magic. You could trade for Woods and play him as a starter.

In would go with Orlando. The team is not the best atm. Howard is a rising star, but Hill will retire soon. So you have to hurry to develop the sleepers in Orlando (like Ariza and Nelson) to become a title contender.

You also have the possibility to go after a decent SG. Maybe in the off-season after year one with the free cap you have.

So what speaks for Orlando as a challenge:
Two stars, one young and one old
Limited potential of some players
No real scoring threats
Pretty weak C and SG spot
Developing Darko ;)

What speaks against Orlando as a challenge:
Nelson and Howard develop very well
Hill may not retire for some seasons
Cap Space

So I would take them, develop Darko into starting C and try to acquire a decent SG.
Maybe you could use them along with the NBA Draft Project by OLEnglish.

Thanks for the input guys, but now I have an idea on what team to use after re-acquainting myself with live.

I'll have a thread up when I'm not lazy.

Orlando has a scorer in Hedo Turkoglu i remember in last year when he was a bum. He can put on some points as a shooter.

I would go with the trailblazers for a challenge. Just for the hell of it.

Trailblazers would be a good one, they dont have a lot of high ratings for trades. Telfair is a good pg so you dont need one. Martell Webster is a little shaky. Also you got some old players on the team.
